Seeing You Once Again [[Closed]]

Swiftheart made the now familiar trek to see Mistywater. He, as usual, couldn't wait to see how she was doing and how his kits were doing. He felt bad leaving Dawnkit, but she was with his father while he was gone, so he wasn't that worried. He had thought about bringing her, but he didn't want her making the long journey, there and back. He padded into WindClan territory and soon got to the border where they always met, but she wasn't there, which was odd. She's usually the first one there because she doesn't have to come as long a way as he does. He glanced around worriedly, scenting the air, but she still wasn't there. This wasn't like her and it made him worried. I hope she's alright. he thought to himself uneasily.

Mistywater coughed violently as she made her way to where Swiftheart was, she slowly smiled "Hey Swift-" she coughed again "Hey Swiftheart" she laughed as she ran up to him with her might, she licked his cheek, a soft smile grow over her terrible frown.

Swiftheart purred when he finally saw her and a smile was forming on his face as he nuzzled her, but it fell when he heard her cough. "Hey are you alright? How long has that cough been happening?" He asked worriedly, eyes clouded in concern for his mate. His mind automatically went to the worst case scenario of her having Green cough, White cough, or some other fatal sickness that involved a horrible cough.

Mistywater shook her head, her face looking not to worried. She did have her worries in her mind though, she just didn't show it right now, no one really knew she had green-cough though. She looked at Swiftheart "It started a couple days ago" she mewed, her tail pulling her fluffy body down, she rubbed against Swiftheart "How is Dawnkit?" she asked.

Swiftheart nodded "Well maybe you should have your medicine cat take a look at you? Ya know.. Just in case?" He mewed, still worried. He smiled slightly at what he thought was an attempt at a change in subject, "She's doing great. She grows so fast though." He mewed, laughing softly to himself. "She'll be an apprentice soon." He purred.

Mistywater rolled her eyes with a large smile, she coughed again "D-don't worry Honey" she purred, her tail wrapping around his pelt. She imaged Dawnkit being apprentice sized, she purred at the happy thought, forgetting about her terrible cough.

Swiftheart gave her a smile, "That's what I do." he purred, licking her cheek. He had always been a worrier, but sometimes it turned out to help. "But please? Just let her check?" He mewed in a somewhat serious somewhat playful tone.

Mistywater laughed as Swiftheart responded. Once she settled down she looked at him and nodded "Sure, whatever makes you happy" she mewed, holding in another big cough.

Swiftheart purred, relief glinting in his eyes, "Thanks." He mewed as he layed down next to her. "How are Blackkit, Meadowkit, Featherkit, Smokekit, and Lightkit?" He asked, smiling slightly at the name Smokekit, that was named after his father. He figured they were either already apprentices, or getting close to becoming one, but he'd let Mistywater correct him if he was wrong.

Mistywater smiled "They are hard to deal with you know" she purred, a large smile growing across her face before letting out two hard coughs, she cleared her throat "Blackpaw is an apprentice and the rest are almost ready" she explained shortly.

Swiftheart laughed, "I'm not surprised at that." he mewed, purring. It was hard enough worrying about one kit. he couldn't imagine worrying and caring for five. He glanced at her in concern as she caugh twice, but tried to hide it with a smile as she said Blackpaw was an apprentice now. "I wish I couldn't be there to see them grow up." he mewed, sighing wishfully. He knew it couldn't happen, but that didn't mean he didn't wish it.

Mistywater nodded, she missed just visiting Swiftheart, playing games and what not, but she didn't have the energy right now. She snuggled next to Swiftheart a frown on her face.

Swiftheart purred as his mate snuggled up to him. He loved just spending time with her, no matter if they aren't even talking or if they're not doing anything. He loved just snuggling up to her and listening to her breathing, and occasional cough that worried him. He nuzzled her and rested his chin on his paws happily.

Mistywater smiled, she batted his head playfully as she rolled on top of him. She laughed, no cough this time. She felt like every time she coughed Swiftheart was more worried, she shook the thought out of her head and giggled, batting at his ear and head over and over until she got a response.

Swiftheart gave a surprised 'oof' as Mistywater rolled onto of him and laughed. He tried to keep a serious face as she batted his ear, but it was obvious he was trying to contain his laugh and a smile was plain on his face. "Oh you're gonna get it now." He growled playfully, his laugh mixed in with it. He pawed her face gently before rolling over and crawling out from under her quickly before she could react. He whipped around to face her and he was grinning like an idiot, but he couldn't help it and, honestly, he didn't care. He loved the cat in front of him so much that he would do anything for her. And them play fighting reminded him of their apprentice days when they didn't have any problems(Well real ones anyways) and there wasn't any Dark Forest to worry about. They were safe and they didn't have to worry as much. He had this feeling that something would happen soon and he hoped and prayed to StarClan that the Dark Forest's rule would end soon. He shook his head slightly to clear his thoughts and he ran and tackled her to the ground. He smirked down at her before reaching his muzzle down to touch his nose to hers.
