What A Patrol, Bet You Would Hate It In The Dark

Sedgewhisker walked along the sides of the trees with Blackpaw, Mistywater's sun and his apprentice. He looked down at him "Have you been out of camp before?" he asked simply.

OOC: I'm gonna kill him off soon....

Blackpaw looked up at his mentor, beautifully elegant frame swaying throughout the brambles. He glanced around, blue eyes glinting like the crystal waters of the ocean. He merely shook his head, twinned with a brief statement. "Yes, I have," Blackpaw mewed, tone nearly inaudible. He stepped over a twig, sleek shadow spanning across its short width. "And I look forward to doing so more often."

Blackpaw's words were so wisely and well spoken, they seemed as if they would come out of the maw of an experienced warrior. His small size betrayed this matter, as he padded, well-paced, behind his mentor. He fell in beside him, with a courteous nod. "When may we begin?" Blackpaw's pointed ears perked with excitement for the session.

Blackpaw rustled through the weeds and ferns, yet he was well camouflaged against the dull, green ground. "I would much enjoy it if we began."

Sedgewhisker nodded, quiet about his answer. He looked at Blackpaw as he asked if they could begin "This is a patrol you know, are you going on a patrol or are we training?" he purred, his voice full of silliness. The days of an apprentice were still behind him, he had no mate really. He didn't need love anyway. He still loved his sister and mother, not much of his father though, he betrayed his family too poorly, everything was still wrong with his mind. He didn't think too much about his father though, he didn't see him anywhere, still, he scented something was missing.

"A patrol," Blackpaw responded, skipping over stones half-buried in the soil. He managed a snicker as his paws danced over the earth with ease. He breathed in the familiar scent, as he looked all throughout the forest. The treetop canopies sheathed them from the sky, and kept their camp safe. His thoughts abated his stature, rigid and formal. He glanced at his new mentor, with a smile worn on his face. The young, broad-shouldered tom stood, with certainty and understanding in his eyes. He seemed upbeat and bubbly, except that he masked this pride with earnestness. He grovelled in the peaty dirt, underbelly skimming the ground.
