A Clock's Ticking in the Sky ((Open))

Blackkit's paws rested on the ground, icy gaze barely skimming the rims of the barn. He walked forwards, tiny strands of wiry fur cascading along his back. Claws unsheathed, unfamiliar to the world, Blackkit lowered himself until the fur of his underbelly brushed the bare, rocky ground. He raised his head, until his button nose faced the sky. He attempted to utter a squeak, yet nothing was heard.

Gold opened her eyes hearing a pitiful squeak. the rouge Medicine cat sniffed the air and found a tiny kit just behind a hay bale. "Why hello little one. Wheres your parents?" The cinnamon colored swirled tabby meowed blinking pale light green eyes.

The tiny kit stared up at the unfamiliar cat's face. He took a step back, only to stumble and land on his belly. He let out a piteous growl, and stood up on his four paws. His ear flicked upon noticing that he was sinking into the peaty soil. He attempted to hold himself steady. "I don't know," he managed to mewl.

Gold chuckled and pulled the kit out of the patch of soil he was in and onto the wooden boards of the barn. "Are you a clan cat dear?" The she cat meowed flicking her tail and sitting down in front of the kit.

Pepper padded in with a small rabbit in her jaws, glad to eat normal prey again. She set down the rabbit when she noticed that they had yet another kit in the barn. She purred, the thing was tiny.. Her motherly instict had grown since the loss of her own kits. "What's your name?" She mewed.

Overwhelmed by the two cats around him, Blackkit took a step backwards. His eyes blazed and he lowered his head. Yet he couldn't muffle a weak wince. "I-I don't know who I am..." he stammered. Clouds obscured the sky above him, and he felt the breeze ruffle his fur. He straightened up. "I'm certain I don't need help, though." he meowed coolly. His response was stifled by a small, adorable little hiccup. He backed towards a slope, tiny paws scrabbling.

Blackkit sat down, rear and tail soaked with mud. Images of a mustier forest filled his mind. It seemed more lush. Now he looked around at the abandoned barn, soil churned and turned over. His muscles tensed and he shivered, tail and ear-tips wet. Despite this, he looked at least half a moon.
