Nettle and Flash get some Salt (closed for That Bleu Natsu and Pikachu)

Nettletail stole across the moors iin the inky black night. The almost-full moon was hidden by clouds, and there were no stars. The deputy relished the night- the cool, clear darkness made her feel empowered. The dark was her element. But along with the feeling of strength and power, a small, nervous fluttering resided in her chest- the kind of feeling only Flashstorm could bring. But that wasn't the only new feeling she had. Small wiggles of movement in her belly had driven her to talk to Oceanlight- a naive she-cat that the brown warrior still despised, but who had been trained in the art of being a medicine cat- and the blue she-cat had confirmed her suspicions: Nettletail was pregnant.

Since it had been moons since Sedgeclaw's death, there was only one tom who could possibly be the father. Her secret mate, Flashstorm. The handsome, strong orange tom who she had convinced to join the Dark Forest. She had sensed that he had had feelings for Saltpelt, but he returned her affections, so she held hope that those tiny stirrings had been all but forgotten. She could feel the tiny lives inside her belly as she looked around. "Flashstorm?" she whispered urgently.

Flashstorm padded over to the hill and spotted Nettletail. He blinked and slid down to her.
"Nettletail? Is something wrong?" Flashstorm asked. Something was off with her.

"Nothing's wrong, Flashstorm," she assured him hurriedly, offering him a big smile. "It's just... Oh, Flashstorm, I'm carrying your kits." Nettletail waited with bated breath for his reaction. What would he think...?

Saltpelt was out hunting as well, when she smelt an unfamiliar scent nearby mingled with Flashstorm's scent. "Nettletail? What are you doing here?" The she-cat meowed, looking inquisitively at the she-cat who was far from SkyClan territories.

Flashstorm's eyes widened in utter shock. His kits? Then another voice interrupted his thoughts and he turned around. It was Saltpelt. Flashstorm's breath caught in his throat. Oh no.

Nettletail turned around calmly to see WindClan's leader, Saltpelt. This.... could get interesting. There were many lies she could tell, but why lie? What did she have to fear from this petite white she-cat? She was SkyClan's deputy, one of the Dark Forest's strongest warriors, even if she was pregnant. There was nothing Saltpelt could do to her. The only thing she could do to Flashstorm would be to banish him, and why would she do that? They were all Dark Forest, all on the same side. The warrior code was what said her and Flashstorm's relationship aas forbidden, and seeing as they didn't follow it anymore, there was no need for Saltpelt to take action. Even if she did banish him, he could just come live in SkyClan. Crowstar surely wouldn't object to adding another strong, loyal warrior to SkyClan's ranks. Finally, Nettletail spoke. There was no reason, she had ascertained, to be untruthful. "I came to see my mate," she meowed politely.

"Oh." The she-cat didn't know what to say. She watched solemnly, before dipping her head and meowing flatly. "Congratulations, Flashstorm, Nettletail. I'm sure you two will be great parents." Her tone didn't waver in the slightest, she wouldn't give Nettletail the satisfaction of rubbing this in her face. Instead the she-cat forced her fur to lie flat as she excused herself, she needed to leave. She didn't know how long she could pretend that everything was fine. "Take your time, Flashstorm. We're Dark Forest cats, no one cares about cross-clan affairs. I'll head back to camp with what we've already caught. It.. It was nice to see you, Nettletail."

Flashstorm did the only thing he saw fit: Panic. Flashstorm trembled slightly and he looked at Nettletail, his eyes mixed with many emotions.
"I-I'm sorry Nettletail, I'll be back later.." Flashstorm apologized. He then took off after Saltpelt, hoping to explain to her. He didn't want to leave Nettletail... but he would have to tonight. A father...

Nettletail stood there, a satisfied smirk on her face as Saltpelt tried to hide her dismay. She almost felt sorry for the white she-cat. But her happiness turned to hurt as Flashstorm followed after the WindClan leader. But... they were mates! He had said that he loved her! No... No, this couldn't be happening. She'd finally found love again- he couldn't leave her now! She was carrying his kits! They could be a family! They.... they... he... Well, he couldn't have both her and Saltpelt. He had made his choice. The SkyClan deputy slowly walked home, hoping against hope that it had all been a misunderstanding, but knowing that once again, trust and love had only brought her pain.
