What are the duties of a medicine cat: The duties of a medicine cat are to tend to and assist any cat, not just cats of their own Clan, who is I'll or injured. They are to learn all of the herbs and their uses in order to treat costs efficiently. They are not bound by Clan loyalties, and form a friendship with the other medicine cats and their apprentices from the other Clans. They are to never get a mate or have kits, because that will distract them from their duties as a medicine cat. They are to go out into the territory and collect herbs when the stash is running low, and they must know the locations of the herbs that they use. Medicine cats and their apprentices have a special bond with StarClan, and are to go to the Moonstone every half-moon to meet with the other medicine cats of the other Clans and their apprentices. Usually, medicine cats and their apprentices are the ones that receive omens and prophecies, and are to share them with the leader of the Clan. It is also the duty of a medicine cat or their apprentice to attempt to interpret the omens, dreams, and prophecies given to them by StarClan.
What you would do with this position: I would be sure to be in any topic that needs me, such as topics after battles when cats are injured and need healing. I am to use the healing system if I'm in the middle of a battle (like at May's Gathering). I will make sure that my character carries out the tasks of a medicine cat, which are typed out in the paragraph above. I make sure that my character never gives up on an ill or injured cat until it's absolutely too late and they've joined the starry ranks of StarClan.
Why you think you deserve this position: This is my second month on this site and I'm already accustomed to the feel and flow of WCC. I think I'm prepared to take on the responsibility of roleplaying a medicine cat. I'm always active, as in, I'm on every day, all day (except for late at night and extremely early in the morning). I know the Warriors books like I know how to say my ABC's (I can say my ABC's backwards, too!), and I also made it my priority one time to memorize the herbs mentioned in the books and in the guides. I've written a fan fiction, and the main character was a medicine cat, so I had to research a lot of medicine cat behavior and rituals in the books and guides as well as refresh myself on the herbs on their uses. I think that I would be a fitting role for WindClan's next Medicine Cat Apprentice.
