This isn't a forest!? [Open]

OOC: Assuming there's no 'nursery', the kits would sleep with their mother on the nest of hay?

Lionkit felt warmth as he awoke from the beautiful familiar scent of his mother. Opening his blueish-gray eyes, the tom was already aware of his siblings beside him before he had a look at their pelts. Brown, silver, black... He mentally noted. Suddenly feeling a strange rush of adrenaline, Lionkit had a burst of energy that he knew couldn't be put to waste. Standing up, the kit decided to finally explore this grand place. He'd notice the strange walls when he opened his eyes, but he felt too sleepy to move and went back into his dreams as he quite enjoyed the feeling of hay, but Lionkit didn't understand where he was. Running away from his bedding of hay, Lionkit was too excited and couldn't wait to explore such a place. As he ran only a fox-length away from his mother, Lionkit wasn't focusing on his running as he managed to collapse on his own white paws, luckily falling into a bundle of hay. Peeking out of the hay, the tom felt a flush of heat on his face as he felt embarrassed from his clumsiness.

Frozenflame chuckled as he watched the kit collapse in a patch of hay. The tom had been spending a lot of time in the "nursery", or where the queens and kits sleep, lately because of his son, Ploverkit. Ploverkit was Frozenflame's whole world, and if anything were to happen to him, Frozenflame surly wouldn't be himself anymore. "Hey there, are you okay?" The large tom asked as he bent down near the kit. "I'm Frozenflame. Do you have a name, little one?"

As Lionkit prepared to jump out of the hay, the sound of a stronger tom startled the kit. He knew he shouldn't just hide in the hay, so Lionkit revealed himself and jumped out, looking at the broad tom. Lionkit knew that Frozenflame was friendly as the tom introduced himself. "Oh, of course I have a name!" Lionkit responded, flicking his tail in delight, "I'm Lionkit." Looking around the area, the tom set his eyes on a mouse between a wall just a few fox-lengths away. The kit felt excitement to see such a fascinating small creature, but only to become disappointed as the mouse ran away into the wall's gaping crack. Turning back to Frozenflame, the kit's itching curiosity was too much as he asked, also as an attempt to evade the clumsy act Frozenflame witnessed, "What is this place?"

Frozenflame nodded as the kit told him his name, then he listened to Lionkit's question. "Well, Lionkit," the gray and cream tom started as he sat down and curled his tail around his paws. "This place is called the Abandoned Barn. It is a barn that has been abandoned by Twolegs, and now Thunderclan uses it as a home since our real one has been....occupied by unwanted guests. That doesn't matter right now, though. We will get our home back once the clan has grown and become stronger."

A small spiky furred fur ball stirred a bit at the bit of warmth that left beside her that was one of her siblings. The young she kit opened her olive green eyes slowly. She blinked once twice then three times as she blinked the sleep from her eyes. Slowly she stood up on her white paws. She heard voices and she turned her bristle spike furred head in their direction. She then gave a small smile. Bristlekit gave flick of her Dark Brown tabby tail with a white tip a flick and she started to scamper over noticing instantly it was her brother and some other cat."hey..."She mewed as she came over.

Twolegs? Lionkit wondered, slightly tilting his head. But, the kit figured that he'd learn what they are shortly. He felt a little surprised being told that the whole of ThunderClan was driven out from their own home! "We will fight those evil guests!" He mewed with pride, unsheathing his tiny claws and fluffing out his fur to appear bigger. "I will take on all of them at once!" The kit mewed rather egotistically, believing in himself too much. Lionkit looked around the barn, counting the Clan's numbers. He quickly relaxed as he noticed that there weren't many warriors. Patience, he noted to himself, but ThunderClan will fight back! Hearing a soft mew of another kit, Lionkit turned to his sister Bristlekit. "Hey, Bristlekit! Meet this strong warrior: Frozenflame!" Lionkit mewed as he introduced Frozenflame, rather oblivious to Frozenflame's position of deputy.

Frozenflame laughed at Lionkit's pride and bravery. "I like your enthusiasm, Lionkit. You will make a strong warrior; just what Thunderclan needs to get back home." Then, another kit came over. This one looked spiky, almost as if it would hurt to touch her. "Ahh, so you're name is Bristlekit?" Frozenflame purred, purposely not correcting Lionkit. Frozenflame didn't feel like being praised by young kits for being the deputy....he felt like Lionkit would especially make a big deal about it. Not that it was a bad thing, it was just that Frozenflame didn't necessarily like being bowed down to because of his title. Maybe he was just being humble.

Bristlekit blinked and smiled a tiny bit before she said"hi Lionkit...."She then turned her gaze to Frozenflame"yep that's my name"She mewed enthusiastically her tail flicking"so what about Thunderclan?"She asked only hearing bits and peices of her brother and the deputy,Frozenflame's conversation. Though she though she caught enough of the conversation to understand she didn't quite catch it all"if we are fighting I want in"She mewed her voice turning into a squeak almost as her voice rose and puffed up her spiky fur puffing out and giving her a bigger appearance.

The silver Bengal stirred as two of his siblings, clumsily he might add, ran over to see some warrior. Rainkit blinked the sleep from his icy blue eyes, and got up. The tiny sleek  kit padded after them. "Hi!" Rainkit meowed sitting down beside his siblings.

A soft short furred black she kit woke up to find Rainkit, Lionkit, and Bristlekit gone. She scanned the barn for them and spotted them talking to a cream and gray warrior. Blinking the from her icy blue eyes Plumkit padded over to say hello as well leaving Fernkit next to their mother. "Hello!!"
