Speckledpaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to capture their own... prey gather underneath Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" Thrushstar said.

Speckledpaw padded out of the apprentice's den and into the clearing.

Viperfang padded out of the warrior's den and into the clearing, settling next to her daughter. She began to groom the fur on top of her head and then looked up at Thruststar.

"Tonight we gather to... make this apprentice a warrior," Thrushstar said. "Speckledpaw, please step forward."

Speckledpaw padded forward, eyes glowing with excitement.

"Do you promise... to serve and protect this clan, even at the... cost of your life?" Thrushstar asked, looking down at the apprentice.

"Yes..." she mewed quietly, but with utmost confidence.

"Then by the powers of Starclan I grant you... your warrior name," he said. "Specklepaw, from now on you will be... known as Speckledberry. We welcome... you as a full warrior of Shadowclan." With that, he leaped down to let the clan finish the ceremony.

Speckledberry purred at the sound of her new title.

Viperfang walked over to her daughter and placed her nose on her head. "You've done well.... You'll be the greatest warrior in all of Shadowclan..." she mewed softly but with feeling.
