Elkheart and Silverstone (Closed for Tyleca)

A sigh escaped the mouth of Silverstone as she sat perched on a low-hanging branch of a tree. Fallencloud was gone, and her heart was shattered. She longed for someone to love, someone to care for, someone to treat her like she mattered. Where was that someone? Rays of pink and orange shimmered onto her as the sun slowly rose along the horizon and a soft breeze danced through the leaves of all the trees. Suddenly, Silverstone heard pawsteps coming toward her, and the scent of one of her clanmates flooded her senses.

Elkheart was distraught at the reality of his relationships. He realized he loved Cobraeyes many moons ago, but the reality that it wouldn't work out hit him hard. But he knew that he knew he needed to move on, he needed to find someone else to love. He went out on a walk in the territory as he usually did when he needed to think. He didn't realize that he walked into a clearing where Silverstone was on a low branch, until he looked up. "Oh, hey Silverstone" he mewed in greeting as he jumped up onto the low branch as well.

Silverstone had a reputation of being a flirt, and she was angry at herself for not giving Fallencloud the love he had deserved when he was still alive. She was always talking with other toms and never even had a family with her mate. She longed for children to love and take care of. She needed to find someone new, no matter how hard it hurt. As if on que, the she-cat heard her name and looked up just in time to see a tom leap up next to her onto the branch. "Hi, Elkheart," Silverstone purred with a bright smile. Talk about perfect timing, she thought as she took in Elkeart's appearance. Long, brown fur, long legs and tail, emerald eyes...he was perfect. Silverstone felt herself falling in love. It wasn't even falling, but more like crashing, since what she was doing was much stronger than simply 'falling in love'. "Is it just me or does the sun shine brighter when you come over?" She joked, letting her tail dangle over the edge of the branch.

Elkheart folded his ears back and felt his fur turn hot as Silverstone replied. "Uh-h, thanks?" he replied awkwardly, not expecting the compliment or knowing how to respond. Elkheart liked everycat, but he was suddenly having a slightly stronger attraction for Silverstone. Not knowing how to handle it, he continued on with the conversation. "Y-you seemed upset, so I came to cheer you up!" he stuttered, still shaking from his thoughts and the compliment. He purred slightly as he spoke, not being able to control himself.
