Windkit came out from behind Jaybird, starring coldly at Hushkit. Her pale blue eyes caught his, and she narrowed hers. Her silver tabby pelt, shimmering in the wind, and paws tense.

"Hushkit." She mewed, in greeting. She stepped fowared, out behind Jaybird, now standing next to the warrior. She starred at te tabby kit and narrowed her eyes again. "Fancy meeting you outside the nursery, for once."

"Hello Windkit." Midnightpaw said in greeting to the new arrival.

Hushkit glared at Jaybird. What he wouldn't do to be pulling ticks off the elders now instead of being pestered by a warrior! He watched closely as Windkit, that nasty she-cat, stepped forward and narrowed her cold eyes at him. He did just the very same back at her, aware that it was three against one. Wow. What had this clan come to that they decide to gang up on a kit? Then again, he wasn't the prodigy kitten either...

"Windkit." He mewed, not in greeting. "I got fed up with overly joyful kits." He pinned her with a glance. "Too bad I found this one." Hushkit nodded pointedly to Jaybird.

Jaybird snorted in contempt.His blue eyes flashed with anger. This kit was a big nuisance,especially since he was talking to the most senior warrior in Shadowclan. "Who are you calling a kit?" he snarled. "Last time I've seen,you are the one who's name ends with it"

Midnightpaw let her smile fade,her original attitude finally showing on her face. She finally let youself reconize the anger and hatrid flickering between Jaybird and Hushkit. Starclan has he changed.. She thought,looking at Hushkit, He wasnt always like this.. She shook her head and growled softly,what was she thinking? It was way better with Hushkit being the kit he is now, no matter how much hatrid he shows towards Jaybird.

"What are you gonna do next?" Windkit growled. "Say that an apprentice is a queen? Or a Medicine cat an elder? Do us all a favor and stop being so hostile for once! The Clan dosen't need your anger." Winkit shot him a stare that seemed to seer into him. She flicked her tail at him to not talk back or there will be BIG trouble between him and her.

"Leave him alone Windkit!" Midnightpaw growled,her teeth flashing, "He has had a hard life,I can make yours hard if you want. If not,keep your jaws shut!"

Hushkit rolled his eyes at Jaybird, cold eyes not even close to portraying that he knew of the tom's warrior status. That, or just not caring. With a bored shrug, the little kitten was about to turn away from this gongshow of a conversation, when Windkit, that snooty little she-devil, told him what to do. And, not only that, but gave him 'the look'. Now, he wasn't just cooly scathing, he was full-out, unsheathed claws, hostile. Midnightpaw was only making it worse, attempting to stand up for him. He could very well deal with his own battles. Despite this, he mention of a hard life made him recoil. Jadekit.

"I'll do whatever I'd like with or without your 'permission', Windkit." He spat at her, uttering her name like a dirty curse.

Midnightpaw saw a hint of pain in Hushkits eyes after she mentioned his past and couldnt hide a small smile.No matter what happened, pain makes you stronger,as she has learned from long ago.Hushkit will have to learn that,or the pain from his past will destroy him too. No matter what emotion he shows to hide whats underneath,he cant hide the pain that was in his eyes.He would have to learn,or,once he bacame an apprentice,he might not be strong enough to protect his clan to the fullest.Midnightpaw shook her head,trying to clear the thoughts of Darkfrost from her mind.Try as she may,she couldnt clear away the images of the day he died.

Jaybird was thinking exactly the same as Midnightpaw. He would keep letting this kit fight. His strength would grow the more hostile he becomes. He grinned and lashed his tail. "Knock it off you two." he meowed expressionlessly.
