Goosepaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" Fishstar shouted over the camp.

Toadkit peeked out of the nursery, was this another ceremony?

Goosepaw tripped over his own feet on the way up, but he tried not to let it get the best of him. He didn't want to muck this up. He proudly sat down, his eyes shining with glee. He was glad it was over, but he'd miss his training days.

OOC: Goosestorm please I'm inducting myself into the "I can't make up my mind" club because this is literally the third time I changed his warrior name (I'm sure this time)

Lionsong made her way over to Goosepaw, her golden fur shining and thick.

"Goosepaw, please step forward," said Fishstar.

Goosepaw stepped forward shakily, looking his soon-to-be former mentor in the eye despite his height. His blue eyes glittered with hope and strength, two things he never thought he'd feel.

Fishstar' cleared her throat and proceeded to say, "I, Fishstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in turn. Goosepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

The tom was absolutely terrified, but he squared his shoulders, and with a shaky breath, finally pushed out the words. "I do."

ooc: i know, lol. i copied the dialogue from another warrior ceremony and forgot to change the gender.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Goosepaw, you shall now be known as Goosestorm. RiverClan honours your strength and loyalty."

The leader chanted the new warrior's name along with the rest of the Clan.

Goosestorm let go of the breath he was holding. He expected something highlighting his nervousness, but he'd received the blessing of a storm, powerful and unpredictable. Maybe what he had done during the border skirmish had gotten around to the rest of the clan. He didn't really care, because either way, he was a warrior at last.
