Cinnamonkit and Mistkit's Apprentice Ceremonies

"Let all cats... old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Jaggedrock... for a clan meeting!" Thrushstar yowled.

Eaglefeather walked out from the nursery and looked up at the Jaggedrock.

Wildfang trotted over into the clearing and stood beneath the Jagged Rock. He settled down, his yellow eyes glinting joyfully. More apprentices was always a good sign.

Mistkit padded out of the nursery, her icy blue eyes glimmering with a haughty dignity. Today was the day she would finally move out of the lousy nursery! No more pesky kits, no more mothers scolding her. She was free. Today was her day to shine, and only hers. At least, she hoped. It would be terrible if she had to share a ceremony. Mistkit rolled her eyes at the thought of another bouncy kit joining in with her ceremony.

Mistkit took a seat beneath the Jaggedrock, licking her chest with a composed nature. Who would be her mentor? She hoped it wouldn't be someone annoying. Like Eaglefeather. Mistkit thought bitterly. Good thing she was stuck in the nursery. There was really no sense worrying about it, though. She would find out soon enough. Mist kit looked up to Thrushstar, waiting for the sacred words.

Eaglefeather ignored Mistkit, when she said she wouldn't talk to her she kept it. Letting out a small growl and silent one she moved a bit farther away from Mistkit "Filthy piece of Mouse dung" she murmured.

Mistkit's ears flicked, but otherwise showed no change in emotion. There was no way she was letting a nasty old furball like her ruin her ceremony.

Wildfang looked over at Eaglefeather than glanced at Mistkit questionably, shrugged then returned his yellow eyes to Thrushstar.

Briarpaw sat down next to his sister,Mistkit and had a spark of protection for his siblings ever since Pinepaw went missing

Cinnamonkit padded wearily out of the nursery den. Ughhhhh this means I can't sleep in any more... she sighed and padded up to jaggedrock.

"Tonight... we gather to make these... kits apprentices," he said, looking down at the two kits. "From now on until you... receive your warrior names, you will... be known as Cinnamonpaw and Mistpaw. Your mentors will be Mossheart... and Owlfang respectively." With that, he leaped down and quickly made his way back to his den.

Eaglefeather looked proudly at Cinnamonpaw and smiled "You'll be a great apprentice" she murmured to her kit.

Mistkit glanced at her brother, a strange emotion coming over her. Was this... grief...? She had never liked Pinepaw much, but now that she had disappeared, Mistkit realized she still cared about her sister.

Mistkit watched as Cinnamonkit padded up beside her. Do I seriously have to share a ceremony with her kit? She thought bitterly, glaring at the other kit. Her thoughts were cut off as Thrushstar started the ceremony. Before Mistpaw knew it, Thrushstar was finished. That was it. Who is Owlfang again? The name was familiar to Mistpaw, but she couldn't recall ever speaking with a cat of that name. Looks like she would find out soon enough.

She looked up at her mother and smiled with a nod. Then she padded over to her mentor and touched noses, excitement overwhelming her.

Briarpaw unexpectedly purred "I have someone to train with now"

"Two new apprentices to train with" she corrected madly yet happily.
