Sneaking Out of Camp (Closed for Ivyleaf33)

OOC: A note to anyone else who happens to read this; we may need other cats join in later if we get into too much trouble outside of camp. ;)

Golden sunlight beamed down upon the Thunderclan camp as a deliciously cool breeze wound its way over the bramble wall. Any-cat could agree it was a beautiful day, one far too nice to be spent stuck in camp. "I just heard one of the warriors talking about this huge tree somewhere out in the forest!" squeaked Featherkit as she bounced excitedly up to Ivykit. "Wanna go find it? You can accidentally toss a moss-ball outside of camp and then we'll say we were just trying to get it back if some-cat catches us!"

The cat whom this was addressed to sat facing the bramble wall, letting the breeze ruffle her fur as she just enjoyed the simple beauty of the day. When her sister's voice travelled over to her, the tabby kit slowly opened her eyes, revealing amber orbs that shone softly in the sunlight. "Mmhmm?" she purred, listening to Featherkit's words. Her head tilted to a side as she pondered the idea. After a few seconds of thinking, her ears twitched slightly, and the kit slowly rose from her sunny resting spot and stretched slightly. When she raised her head back up to meet Featherkit's green ones, a grin spread across her face. "Yeah!" she purred, excitement coursing through her, "that's a great idea! They say kits are mischievous, so why not prove them right?" The tabby began to claw together some moss, forming a ragged ball of the stuff to play with.

OOC: I'm so sorry for the wait, Ivy. I got really sick and I've been stuck in bed for forever... :P

IC: "Yeah!" Featherkit cheered, practically bursting with excitement. She loved exploring and learning new things, but none of the older cats would let her or Ivykit go out on their own. So we just have to make sure they don't see us leaving, she told herself.

As Ivykit finished gathering the moss-ball, Featherkit crouched down, her tail whisking back and forth. It crossed her mind that the main entrance would be guarded, but she decided to leave it to Ivykit to find another way. After all, plans were her thing. Ivykit would probably see some tiny hole in the dense bramble wall that only kits could use. Featherkit's pale eyes sparkled at the thought of finally getting to see the world outside, with its vibrant stories of tasty prey and rushing rivers and dangerous rouges. Soon she and her sister would see it all for themselves! "Ready when you are, Ivykit!"

Indeed, Ivykit had spotted a loose branch in the thick bramble barrier that protected ThunderClan from any intruders. Her sharp amber eyes scouted the camp for any cats who might notice them, as she skillfully batted the scraggly object across the clearing, and tumbling after it to catch it every time. With a tilt of her head and a point of a white-tipped tail, Ivykit directed the moss-ball and her sister in the diction of loosened branch. As they approached, Ivykit would let the ball rolling past her into the brambles, and point her tail at the hole for Featherkit, grinning mischievously.

Featherkit grinned back. Lunging past Ivykit for the moss-ball, she batted it further away, into the sun-dappled forest beyond the brambles. "Oops," she purred.

Ivykit immediately scrambled after the moss, gesturing with her tail for Featherkit to follow. Diving into the brambles, she began to slowly make her way through, squeezing through the last bit. As she finally burst outside, the kit paused, ears prickerward to listen for any patrols, before gazing about with a delight expression. She quickly steps aside, ensuring her sister a better view.

Featherkit wriggled in, right behind Ivykit. She sure hoped she wasn't leaving her fur all over the little thorns that were scratching her sides! But eventually she got free and stopped to take a deep breath of the fresh forest air. It was filled with the promise of so many adventures! "Race you to that log!" Featherkit squealed as she took off running.

Ivykit's ears pricked forward at the thought of a challenge, and with a push off her haunches, the tabby kit raced after her sister, tail streaming. She barely shoved forward, and accidentally collided with Featherkit's hindquarters, rolling them into a somersault sort of thing. "Whoa! Sorry, Featherkit!" Ivykit purred in laughter.

"Get off!" Featherkit meowed through a mouthfull of her sister's fur. She shook herself off before jumping back and crouching. Trying to look fierce, she narrowed her eyes and growled "Lionclan won't stand for intruders! Especially ones who sit on our best warrior!"

A purr of amusement and happiness escaped Ivykit's mouth, and the tabby responded with an equally fierce growl. She would let herself mess around like a kit for once, instead of acting and thinking like one beyond her years. "What is this? Someone dares to stand up against the almighty LeopardClan? Sitting on your best warrior was a powerful battle move! For I am LeopardClan's best warrior and I shall take your territory!" Ivykit swung a sheathed paw lightly at her sister's head, with a mock battle cry.

Featherkit tried to dodge the blow like she'd seen apprentices practicing, but she only succeeded in tripping herself and falling forward. Luckily, she fell right underneath Ivykit's strike! Seeing an opening, she battered Ivykit's soft belly with her forepaws. "Ha!" she cried. "You can't catch Lionclan off guard so easily!" Featherkit thought about how much more fun this was than play-fighting in camp. Back in front of the nursery some-cat would've tripped over them and made them stop, but out here they were free!

Ivykit let loose a mrrow of laughter, and yelped in surprise as her sister fell, then began to pummel her stomach with sheathed paws. She then smirked, and her mind raced furiously to combat this new advancement in the attack on LeopardClan. "Well, LeopardClan can't be caught off guard either!" With a small smile, the tabby let her full weight drop onto of her sister, smushing Featherkit underneath. "Hahaha! The weight of LeopardClan is unbeatable!" she purred. It really was nice, to be able to play fight so freely without any cats to yell at them.

"Oof!" Featherkit grunted as her sister's full weight squashed her into the soft loam. "What'd you eat yesterday? Rocks?" She wriggled to face her assailant and wrapped her legs around Ivykit, rolling them both over and thoroughly covering their pelts in long-dead leaves. Featherkit couldn't help laughing as she shook herself off. "Now you really do look like Leapordclan!"

Ivykit purred in laughter as well, getting up, and shaking herself off. Leaves clattered down around her, and she grinned, then batted aleaf off her sister's head. "Nope, we're LeafClan now!" she purred. Feeling free, and unburdened, the kit rolled through the leaves, throwing them into the air gleefully. "This is great, Featherkit!"

As the leaf sailed toward her, Featherkit took a flying leap and pounced squarely on it. Suddenly, this gave her an idea. "Hey, Ivykit, wanna try and hunt? It looks like tons of fun! Besides, we've got lots of practice catching Cloverpool's tail!" Featherkit crouched down and waggled her haunches before slamming her paws on another leaf.
