Tallpaw's Assement

Cedarfur trotted over to the apprentice area and gave a soft meow. "Tallpaw! Wake up!" Today she would prove herself by showing him what she'd learned over the days and soon, it would be time for her to receive her warrior name.

Tallpaw opened her eyes slowly,her Goldeneyes looking to her mentor before she stretched and stood up slowly. The long tailed she cat shook her fur out and padded to Cedarfur.

"Today, you'll be completing your training as an apprentice. I'll assess you on what you've learned." He meowed when she caught up to him. He had confidence that she would do fine and was happy to have such an eager apprentice. The tall tom trotted happily over to the fresh kill pile, gulping down a small field mouse. "Ready when you are." He meowed.

Tallpaw smiled a bit and grabbed her a small peice of prey eating it quickly she looked at her mentor " I'm ready "she mewed.

Cedarfur padded out of the WindClan camp. "Let's hunt first." He said as Tallpaw caught up to him. The two padded in silence till they reached the hunting grounds and Cedarfur sat down. "You know what's need to be done, correct?" His tail flicked back and forth.

Tallpaw followed closely and nodded quietly as her mentor said hunting first. She gave a nod" yep I know what to do " She mewed and quietly padded off. Hunting was first,so she needed to show what she was taught. Silently Tallpaw looked around and sniffed the air quietly for scents of prey. She caught the scent of a feild mouse and a rabbit or two not too far off. She was quiet as she debated which to go for first. She decided on the rabbit first.

Cedarfur waited till Tallpaw padded off, then slunk off into the thick, tall grass. He made sure to stay upwind of her so she wouldn't catch his scent and followed her path. Cedarfur watched her pick up a rabbit scent, the same one that ran past him a few moments ago. He took a few steps back and hunched low in the grass, staying still.

Tallpaw padded towards the scent as quietly as she could muster. Once she was in range of the rabbit,the black and white she cat launched herself forward with a burst of speed. The rabbit ear shot up and was about to run off but Tallpaw caught it before it could move. She held down til the rabbit went limp and quietly she hid it to come back for it. She moved on. After catching the second rabbit and hiding it with the other rabbit she moved to catch the feild mouse. She followed the scent before she spotted the little rodent. Pausing for a moment she watched it before she bolted after it holding it down she grabbed it and held onto it til it stopped moving once it did she returned to her two rabbits and grabbed them.

Seeing Tallpaw did well with hunting, Cedarfur padded out of the grass he was hiding in. "Wow, good job." He smiled, looking down towards the prey she'd caught. "How about you bury the prey and we'll patrol a little more. I'll even let you lead it." She might as well learn how to lead a patrol if assigned an apprentice some day.

Ic: Tallpaw blinked then smiled a bit and nodded. She quietly burrows the pieces of prey she caught. After she finished she blinked and smiled a bit "ok "She mewed sounded really excited before she calmed herself and smiled a bit."so..where are we patrolling at or...do I pick?"She asked.

"It's up to you." The tall tom meowed and waited to follow his apprentice.

Tallpaw blinked then nodded and thought for a moment and mewed " um how about the Thunderpath border " She mewed smiling a bit.

Cedarfur gave a nod, signaling for her to lead the way. "Sounds good." The tom followed his apprentice and they finally reached the thunderpath. "Good job finding your way here. Although the stench is not very hard to find." He chuckled.

She blinked and smiled abit giving a small laugh"yeah its not hard to find considering the unbarable smell"she said with a small laugh before she was quiet her tail flicked and her golden yellow eyes looked around.
