Blacktail had been hunting, each day laced with thoughts of Firestream. The beautiful she-cat made him so happy, so he decided to give her a surprise visit. He planned to wait from across the territory, but soon caught scent of a Riverclan cat. Though they smelled like the territory, it was easy to pick out a cat's scent. It smelled strange, like all of Riverclan, and he took it for Firestream. So, he quickly crossed over and realized the scent was unrecognizable. Or maybe it was. Either way, he was faced with a cat who was definitely not Firestream...

OOC: Set before she had her kits

Ivyfall was hunting along the border, or that was her excuse any how. At first, she'd come out with full intentions of going for a hunt, but the first scent of ThunderClan near the border had her mind resetting from hunting to battle mode. The she-cat was a prickly one, spiteful and furious at everything, and this sort of resentment ended up with her hating ThunderClan for everything that had gone wrong in her life. She'd lost everything. Her father. Her clanmates. Her unwavering belief in the code. Her mother. Cloudwhisker, she was so gentle and sweet. She used to look up at Spottedstar with adoration, now she saw a twisted elder, in the warriors, she saw traitors and fox-hearts.

When she spotted Blacktail, a previous denmate, she hesitated as she'd done at the river all those moons ago. But seeing how grown he was, strong, bold enough to wade across the river, she knew that she couldn't be weak. No, he was one of them now. He'd kill her and her kin if he could get the chance, that was probably why he was crossing the river. A spy or a murderer. She wouldn't lose anything more to ThunderClan, she was done losing.

"Blacktail. What do you think you're doing on this side of the river. Sunningrocks barely counts as ThunderClan territory, but to cross the river, that's an act of war."

Blacktail blinked in surprise. "L-Looking for s-some... Uh... Well, It's a... Um..." He shifted on his paws, nervous as he usually was. The she-cat, known to him as a friend and previous denmate, cornering him? It made him even more nervous. But then he remembered the code, and how she must feel about him crossing over. He couldn't spill his and Firestream's secret, that'd be losing her trust and could break his swear.

"Um... I'll go... Um... S-So... Y-Yeah..." He awkwardly said, scared by her hostile expression.

"Going? Who said you're allowed to go anywhere?" Ivyfall whispered menacingly, the she-cat circling around him so that she stood between him and the River. Once, she'd been a ThunderClan apprentice, used to the loamy forest soils, comforted by the undergrowth and used to walking on even ground. But now, she was RiverClan warrior, the silver tabby was an expert, moving quickly across pebbles and unafraid of the icy waters. A steady diet of fish has done her coat a service, water rolled off like a duck's back now.

She knew she had the advantage. The warrior had full intentions of making use of them and ridding ThunderClan of another warrior who'd do them harm. She couldn't trust them, look what happened to her father.

With one quick motion, the she-cat tossed pebbly sand at the Tom's eyes, hopefully blinding him before she slinked away out of his reach. The next strike, she'd go for his soft underbelly.

Blacktail knew he was in trouble now. He squeaked as sand was thrown into his eyes, temporarily blinding him. "I'll go! J-Just leave m-me be!" He exclaimed, nervous now. He gently pawed his eyes in an attempt to get the sand out.
