And Who Might You Be? (Closed For Pikachu)

Ryepaw knew he wasn't supposed to chase a mouse this far, but he couldn't let it get away. He had sneaked off to hunt so that he could eat from the fresh-kill pile, which was rapidly dwindling due to the large number of cats. He reasoned that it didn't matter if he was gone, because he had been given the rest of the afternoon off anyways, to do what he pleased. And if he wanted to hunt, StarClan knows he would! Unusually hungry, he hadn't stopped to think like he usually did, but instead had gone after the first mouse he saw. He had chased it farther than he knew when the piece of fresh-kill darted under a giant boulder, effectively escaping his unsheathed claws. “Oh, mouse dung,” he hissed at it, swiping a paw. “You probably tasted horrible anyways.” He turned around to go back to camp, but looked up and saw four ginormous trees. This... this was Fourtrees? Which way had he come from? Ryepaw turned slowly around. Oh no. He was lost. He sat there, a sense of dread filling him as he saw the sun get lower in the sky. Then he heard pawsteps and whirled around. “Thank goodness! Can you-” But the cat wasn't anyone he knew. “Oh. Who are you?”

Saltpaw was quick, nimble, but no amount of speed could make up for her rather small stature that made hunting in thick snow difficult. Which was why she was all the way by Fourtrees, in pursuit of a rabbit that wasn't too interested in ending up on the freshkill pile. But eventually, it found it's burrow and was gone out of reach, leaving the she-cat far from the Lone Stump, where she started. She was about to head back when she smelt an unfamiliar cat, not fishy like RiverClan, or boggy like ShadowClan.

Who were they?

He was a solid brown tom, yellow/green eyes. Completely foreign to her, yet she was curious. Curious enough to approach. "I'm Saltpaw. And you're really close to WindClan territory." She stated in a matter of fact way, rather than with aggression. "What are you doing out here?"

"Ryepaw." She repeated to herself quietly. She'd never met a ThunderClan cat before, he looked so muscular and strong. And secretly, she thought he was handsome too, not that she would ever confess that aloud. Considering their two clans was in an alliance, she didn't worry too much about their differences. "I've never been here either." She stated, looking at the grand oak trees with him. "I guess we'll both get to come here next gathering, huh? Do you think our clans will have to fight the others again? My mother says the last gathering was really tense and awful." Saltpaw was referring to the tense five way power struggle between the leaders, her own leader, Falconstar, had played a large role in exasperating the situation even though he wasn't there, but she didn't see it that way. No, Falconstar, in her eyes, was the greatest leader that ever lived.

"Yeah, the Clans haven't all been best of friends lately," Ryepaw agreed. "ThunderClan and WindClan are allies, though, so I doubt we have much to worry about. We're the two strongest Clans, aren't we? The other Clans are smaller, so they don't need as much land. We are big enough that we need the extra land." He sounded like he was trying to reassure himself as much as Saltpaw. "Do you think we can be... friends?"

"Friends? Of course." She chirruped without a hint of hesitation or concern as she couldn't see a single reason why their friendship wouldn't be okay. "Like you said, our clans are allies. We're the strongest and should stick together." Saltpaw claimed quite boldly, before the she-cat laughed again in delight at her newfound friend. Flicking her tail from side to side, she let loose a barrage of questions to the tom. "Well, friend, what's it like in ThunderClan? Is your mentor cool? Oh, oh, do you only eat mice?"

"ThunderClan is great," Ryepaw answered with a wide grin. "My mentor's pretty cool. Her name's Cobraeyes. And, no, we don't only eat mice- we also eat voles, squirrels, birds, and the occassional rabbit that wanders onto our territory." He studied his newfound friend. "What about WindClan, and your mentor? Do you have any family? My parents are Frozenflame and Cloverpool, two of the best warriors in ThunderClan. Do you just eat rabbits? And do you know why you're named Saltpaw?"
