Mosskit and Owlkit's Apprentice Ceremonies

"Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" Thrushstar yowled.

Bursting with energy, Mosskit leaped out of the nursery ahead of everyone else, tufts of her ginger fur getting snagged on brambles as she did so. The ginger fluffball knew exactly what today's meeting was about, and she was overeager for it to begin. 'I'm going to be an apprentice!' She thought gleefully, taking her place underneath Jaggedrock.

Owlkit followed the other ShadowClan kit from the nursery, tail held high and chest puffed out. She glanced sideways at Mosskit, chuffing lightly. "Well, so am I! And everyone knows that bigger apprentices are better apprentices." She kept her chin up as she sat down underneath the Jaggedrock.

"Tonight we gather to make these two kits apprentices," Thrushstar said, glancing down at the two balls of energy. "Mosskit and Owlkit, from now until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Mosspaw and Owlpaw. Your mentors will be Rainfire and Frostwhisper respectively. May they teach you everything that they know."
