2nd meeting with Mistyriver and Jaybird

Jaybird padded into the old barn. He had some good memories of this place. But now he was waiting for Mistyriver,for it was the night after their last meeting. Jaybird wondered if she could make it to a place so far away from her camp....

Mistyriver ran through the forest, quietly but quickly. she went into the barn, "hello Jaybird" she went and sat down next to jaybird

"Hello." Jaybird sighed with relief. "Thank Starclan you did not get caught."

"That is a relief." he then jumped to the top of the barn. He stared down at a pile of hay,lashing his tail. "I remember doing this as an apprentice." he smiled,then jumped into the hay.

"It looks like fun" she mewed "i think i might try it" she began climbing the barn

Jaybird was laughing. "Be my guest!" he said.

Mistyriver looked down a little nervous, then jumped. she cimbed out of the hay pile laughing,"that actually quite fun"

"Told you." Jaybird added warmly. He then stared outside. Despite the darkness,it was pouring. drops every now and then leaked through the cracks in the roof. One fell on Jaybird nose,and he shook it off.

Mistyriver purred, and padded over to Jaybird, "it looks a little wet outside, eh?" she mewed

"Just our luck." he said,looking into her eyes. He then shook his head and stared into the rain again.

Mistyriver smiled and lightly pressed her pelt against his," i guess it is"

Jaybird blushed and caught a mouse scurrying through the hay. He smiled and lightly disappeared behind the golden stalks. After a minute,he darted out of hiding and killed the mouse. He dropped it at Mistyriver's paws. "For you." he purred.

mistyriver blushed, "thanks," she mewed purring, "lets share"

jaybird's eyes gleamed. "Sure!" he said. He then cautiously took a bite.
