Smokey Silver~

Silverdapple had been restless lately, especially since the whole Glidingpaw thing. Late one starry night she climbed out of her nest, and trekked to their new territory from Riverclan. Scrunching her nose at the wetness under paw she sat and groomed her beautiful thick white tail. Letting her mind drift to Smokepelt, letting the purr rumble.

Smokepelt followed Silverdapple out of camp, making sure not to be seen. Once she stopped to groom her tail, he let his scent be known. "Hello Silverdapple." He said walking up to her and sitting down.

Silverdapple jumped a little, but seeing him calmed her down. "Hello Smokepelt, you're up late hm?" She mewed softly, turning to look at him with her big green eyes.

"Ya, couldn't sleep I guess." He said plainly. Which wasn't the whole truth. Part of him wanted to speak with Silverdapple, and he was happy she was here. "You?"

Silverdapple turned away to hide the blush, "Just a little restless, anyways, what's up? You okay?" She mewed sweetly, flicking her thick tail gently. Raising her muzzle to the stars.

"Ya..." He said, but couldn't hold it in any longer. Argh, just tell her already! He thought, angry at himself. "Okay listen. Ever since we were kits, I always had feeling for you. For the longest time though, I was torn between you and Goldenpaw, but I always knew it was you. And now we have the whole "Glidingpaw thing", but I don't care what my apprentice thinks. I want to be with you. Live and die with you. Through the ups and downs. The twists and turns. Silverdapple, will you be my mate?" He said it all fast yet slow enough. Smokepelt waited for her reply, almost scared she would say no.

Silverdapple stopped mid lick on her tail, What did he say? It went from soothing to serious, stunned she looked at him with her tongue still poking out. Then the actual question hit her, and her heart. Staring at him speechless, her tufty ears perked. "Smokepelt, are you sure you want me?" She murmured with tears welling in her large eyes.

"Of course! I hate seeing you so scared by Glidingpaw, and I want to help you over come your fear of her. I'll prove to you that inside, there is a flower ready to bloom." He said and moved closer to Silverdapple, giving her a lick on the cheek.

ooc- don't ruin the moment. sheesh.

Silverdapple blushed hard, her fragile heart thumping loudly. Shivering she pressed herself into him, and murmured softly, "I would love to be your mate Smokepelt! I know you'd take care of me, and keep me safe. I trust you, I've loved you since kithood." She purred and twined her tail with his, her thick white tail making his look tiny.

Smokepelt stayed silent but only gave purrs of joy. I'm glad everything worked out this way.
