Minnowtail was sleeping soundly, her swollen belly rising and falling as she slept. Suddenly a sharp pain hit her belly and she awoke with a start. "Viperfang! Nightfire!" The silver tabby yowled to her mate and the medicine cat.She grabbed a nearby stick and bit down on it.

Viperfang raced over, having been informed by passing by Duskfall that Minnowtail was kitting finally. The tom had been expecting it, but he was just as nervous as the first time she'd had kits. He squeezed through into the make-shift nursery, licking his mate on the head before settling besides her comfortingly. "Minnowtail, you'll be fine, my love. You're doing great."
