Fallenpaw's Hunting Training/Patrol

She arose at the first light of the new day, when the cool breeze seeped through the tall canopy of the trees above. But she waited. And waited. And waited. By the time she finished waiting, the Dawn Patrol had gone and come back. So she snatched two pieces of prey. She gobbled one up, and headed to the apprentices' den with the other. "Fallenpaw! Come on! Time for training!" She called inside of the cold den. Yes, she was loud. But she figured she could save the other mentors and teach most of the newer apprentices how to hunt. For a hunting patrol!

Fallenpaw blinked awake. He was having a good dream and Salmonstripe woke him up. He mumbled something and tried to turn away, but remembered he was an apprentice now. He got up and walked over, the feeling of sleep on his eyes and his mouth keeping morning taste.

"Come on, Fallenpaw! We are going to learn how to hunt today - and feel free to bring as many friends or as little as you'd like!" She wanted to make it fun for Fallenpaw. She wanted to make it fun for him, to help him grow to like her a little smidge more.

"Okay." He quickly called inside the den for anyone to join him. He waited outside with her, wondering who would come. Perhaps his siblings.

Troutstep woke up to the commotion of Salmonstripe and her apprentice. He got up and padded over to Fallenpaw. "Mind if Barrenpaw and I join you?"

Whitefoot had been grooming nearby, purring at his son. "Patrol? Would you like your brother and I to join you son?" He asked worried if he wanted company of his energetic brother.

"I'd love for all four of you to come!" Fallenpaw said excitedly. He turned to Salmonstripe. "That's okay, right?"

"Of course!" She purred. "Feel free for all of you to join." She grinned.

Whitefoot glared at her, Just because we're patrolling together doesn't make us a big happy family. Turning he nudged into the aapprentice's den and searched for his white son Sunpaw.

Barrenpaw woke up at the sound of his name and blinked his eyes to adjust from sleep. He groomed his fur quickly before padding out of the den. "Hi, Troutstep," Barrenpaw greeted blankly. He nodded to the others, but his face stayed serious, like usual. "We are going on a patrol?"

Troutstep nodded to his brother. "Yes, now get your lazy butt up." he said grumpily, padding into the clearing, waiting for the patrol.

Fallenpaw got ready. "Let's go. Sunpaw ready yet?" He asked, referring to his brother. He smiled, flicked his tail, and stretched his legs. He was feeling rather optimistic that day.

Whitefoot was eager to go but his belly began tightening, Maybe I shouldn't go yet. Squirming at the sudden pain he frowned, "I apologize but I've begun having pain, maybe we can catch up later?" He mewed.

Troutstep gave a nod to his brother.

Fallenpaw let out a disappointed mew. "Okay, Whitefoot. Maybe if you're feeling better, you can join us. I hope you feel better!" He mewed, feeling bad. "Well, let's go, then." He said, flicking his tail to go.
