Petalpaw nodded enthusiastically. Her hunt for the mouse had made her confidence grow, and now she felt like she could catch all the prey in the forest. "Okay," she agreed. "Thanks, Oliveheart."

She smelled the air, and scenting a family of starlings, she headed in the direction of the smell. When she reached the starlings, something startled them, and they flew off. "Damn..." she muttered to herself, and then took off again. Within the next thirty minutes, she had caught another mouse, and a thrush that had been so old it was staggering against a tree root, and she had not been very proud to catch it because even a kit could hunt that. But she gave thanks to StarClan for the prey's life and then headed back to Oliveheart. She dropped her catches at his paws and looked up at her mentor, hoping for praise.

Oliveheart noticed the older looking thrush but smiled. "You saved him a possible long and painful death, thank you." he purred, and picked up the mouse. "Ready?" he mumbled.
