It's apprentice time!

Featherpaw sat outside of the apprentices den and looked around. She felt like she was a new cat! Sometime ago she was the oldest in the nursery and now she's the youngest in the apprentices den! She licked her paw and layed down.

Creammist leaped from the warriors den, stretched, and looked around the camp. She saw a pretty feminine shape outlined against the dawn sky, and trotted over to the cat. She gently tapped a paw on the shoulder of the cat whom she now realized was an apprentice. "Hello!" she purred. "I don't think I've ever seen you before. I'm Creammist."

Creammist shot Salmonstripe a warning glance, and then turned back to Featherpaw. "I have left the Clan for a few quarter moons because I felt unwanted. But I missed the feel of other cats' pelts and the soft, gentle comfort of my nest in the warriors den. I realized I had betrayed my Clan by leaving for a selfish reason. But I have come back, and the past is put behind me in the future. I am here now, and my homecoming no longer matters anymore." She smiled warmly at the apprentice, and then turned to Salmonstripe.

"I'm glad to see you too," she purred, "but we should save our catching-up time for later." She arched one of her soft blue eyebrows briefly, and gave a little smirk, just like she had millions of times before. Salmonstripe was her best friend, but she didn't want to scare Featherpaw even more.

IC: "Thank you for coming back. Later I'll catch you up on the news." She purred in delighted response. "Well, hello, Featherpaw. How are you today? How's your training with the deputy?" She dipped her head with respect, smiling widely. "I wish I could've had an apprentice." She said quietly, and it ended up coming out as more of a whisper.

"It's alright, Featherpaw. Creammist isn't trying to scare you - she's only sharing," Even though Featherpaw wasn't at all related to her, Salmonstripe found her way in soothing her Clanmates.

Featherpaw got up and walked into the apprentices den and found a small area of the den and made a moss bed then layed down. She was excited to meet some apprentices or talk to some kits! Or even hang out with warriors!

Creammist looked questioningly at Salmonstripe. That was kind of an abrupt leave... she thought. Kind of like how Twolegs receive their food at McDonald's, check the food to make sure it doesn't have poisonous goop all over it, and then just take off from the drive-through and go home. She shrugged.
