Sedgekit's Apprentice Ceremony (+ Deerpaw Stuff too)

Breezestar made his way to the Tall-Branch in the early morning, reading to do his first ceremony in moons. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here for a clan meeting!"

Sedgekit was escorted from the nursery by Larktalon. Why did his father have to be watching him all the time? And why did his father have to nudge him around like a helpless kit? He loved him, but he didn't enjoy being herded around. However, as soon as he stepped into the clearing, his eyes glowed with excitement. Was this his ceremony? He broke into a sprint before halting underneath the Tall Branch and sitting on his haunches.

Now, most apprentices would be training or sleeping now. Not for him. With Rockfall dead, no training had been in, except one patrol which nearly killed half of the tiny Clan. He felt like he was still a "Deerkit" and this was his apprentice ceremony. So, he stood there calmly, gazing into the leader's eyes.

"Sedgekit, you have reached the age of six moons and it's time for you to begin your warrior training." Breezestar meowed, "From this day forth, until you have received your warrior name, you will be known as Sedgepaw. I will be your mentor." Before he could quite greet his new apprentice yet, his gaze turned to the elder apprentice in the clearing. "Deerpaw, your mentoring will be continued by Larktalon. I'm sure he will teach you well." With that, the leader leaped down to greet them both.
