Wisteria Bumbles Along [Open >.>]

The day is clear, but Wisteriapaw's mood is muddy. Her life as a medicine cat apprentice has been a drag and horrible. Her mentor did nearly nothing with her; ignoring her and leaving her to her own devices. So far, the most successful thing she had done was decorate the medicine cat den and keep the herb-store full. She knew the leaves of the trade very well, at least to her. The names and their uses -- for most of them -- consists mostly her knowledge. Even if she doesn't know the name and what they were good for, she recognized them, and gave them her own name.

Her busy paws that weren't being filled with anything but stocking duties had brought her to appreciate the territory she was born in as she traveled it often. It was beautiful, and she could feel every aspect of it. Each plant seemed to buzz with energy and life, as with each bug that made her nose twitch. Her swimming was decent; not fantastic like the warrior apprentices but nice enough to splash around and get from one bank to the other.

Sometimes, she felt lonely. A small hole was in her metaphorical heart, and she needed things to soothe and fill it. Her nose lifted into the air. More and more she felt as if it was StarClan, or something like that, was trying to fit there. But, it didn't feel like StarClan. Something, more... more...

Ah, Wisteriapaw didn't know. She knelt by the edge of the river, lapping gently.

Slushpaw had been walking around the territory, enjoying the sights and the seemingly endless amounts of prey in the river- at least for now, anyway. She had noticed Wisteriapaw. "Hey." She said quietly. She lapped up a bit of water as well. The past bubbly and excited she-cat she used to be was replaced by a quiet, timid and silently angry one. She softened herself to actually talk to someone.

"How's training going?" She asked politely. The she-cat settled for small-talk with this possible friend of hers.

Wisteriapaw stood, her legs short and stubbly compared to most cats her age. With a shrug she sat, her green eyes keeping focus on the river. "Oh, it's... It's going." she said with a small laugh. "At this point I feel like I'll be worthless to the clan forever."

Slushpaw gave a confused chuckle. But then hardened. "Worthless? What do you mean? Each medicine cat- apprentice or not- is amazing and important to the clan one way or another. Don't tell yourself that!" Slushpaw felt anger bubbling towards this cats interpretation of them self. But she ceased this emotion- after all she could only bend ones feelings, not control them."

"Maybe so, but what if they have no education?" Wisteriapaw proposed, gently licking her paw and draping it over her ear.

"Starclan does. Gorsefeather, Medicine Cat of Windclan was trained by Starclan cause his soon to be mentor died. Same in this situation. It's not your fault Sparrowleaf had... Issues." She said calmly.

"And how do you know this?" Wisteriapaw replied back, annoyed.

"A cat from Windclan at the Gathering." She purred, smirking. "She was a warrior."

"And do you believe everything a WindClan warrior says? They could have been exaggerating the truth." Wisteriapaw spat back, her fur bristling.

"I'm nearly positive. And yes, I do. She knew Gorsefeather when she was a kit. Her names' Leafsnap." She said back.
