Kitty Kitty

Sandkit burst out of the nursery. Her fur was fluffed up as she chased a ball of moss all over.

A fawn brown tom-kit leaped out of the nursery. Though saddened from the tragic death of his mother, Heatherfang, it was a beautiful day. Beautiful fluffy clouds slowly drifted through the ocean of wonder and stars. The sun shined onto his fawn-colored fur, it's gleaming contents bouncing off his fur.

"Hiya," He said plainly in his shy tone. "Who're you?"

Curiosity killed the cat, everyone knows that. But, what if it was Curiosity make the cat live? That would be a true quote to describe Deerkit. "I-I'm-m D-D-D-e-e-e-e-r-r-r-k-i-i-i-i-i-t-t-t..." Stammered no one else but the young tom. His sleek fur bristled madly with embarrassment. "Deerkit." He tried to sum up what stammers escaped his muzzle.

Sandkit turned around and lost attention in her game. She smiled.
"I'm Sandkit! Nice to meet you." She mewed, her ginger fur glowing in the sun a bit.

Deerkit smiled and nodded.

IC: Sandkit pawed at her ball of moss.
"Want to play?"

The grin remaining on his face, he nodded and padded closer. "Sure, I guess!" Exclaimed the excited kit.

His paws playfully batted the ball around, finding himself continuously scampering after it.

Sandkit raced after him and the ball, joy beaming in her eyes.

Gasping and panting, Deerkit stopped and fell down. "I need a break!" He cried.

Sandkit halted next to him, panting hard.
"Okay," she mewed with an amused voice.

"Wait... What's your name again?" He panted quietly. "And how's your life been? Mine's been terrible. My Mom's died, and my Dad... Never pays any attention to any of us." He almost growled.

"Sandkit," she mewed," mine's okay.."
Sandkit stared at Deerkit, sorrow and sympathy clouding her bright green eyes.
"Oh..." she murmured. Sandkit licked his ear gently.

Several emotions washed over the kit. Sadness, grief and a new one he'd never before experienced. Love. Sandkit had taught him love... His new most gifted emotion. Thanks so much! He wanted to cry, then cover her with licks. But, he learned a new emotion - two, actually - Embarrassment and disgust.

So he stay there. His soft and gentle green gaze spun around the camp, then flicked back to Sandkit.

Sandkit closed her eyes and nudged him softly.
"It'll be okay though," she said," cause you are gonna be the best warrior Skyclan has ever seen!"
Sandkit smiled.

"That's so nice of you!" Cried Deerkit, his soft voice cracking with tears.

Sandkit purred a bit then looked up. Her green gaze followed a leaf that floated off one of the trees above camp. Sandkit lunged forward and tackled the leaf.
