The she-cat lay there, curled up into a ball. Her tail started twitching in pain, and she jumped up. Pain surged her belly, her only choice to yowl, "Ebonyleaf! My kits are coming...!"

Rainkit quieted as he heard his mother's soothing purrs, He wouldn't know of her blindness for moons but for now he was content in his hunt for something to ease the hunger growls of his soft ginger belly.
