Going on a Trip!

"Duskpaw, let's go!" Thrushtar called into the apprentice's den.

"Yeah yeah hold your foxes Thrushstar! Geeze" Scowled a certain charcoal-bengal, getting to his paws he stumbled out of the apprentice den and quite nearly stumbled into Thrushstar, he would have done it too if his mentor wasn't the leader. "What are we doing today?" He asked, stifling a large yawn as he turned sluggishly to his mentor.

The leader simply rolled his eyes as the grumpy apprentice trudged out of the den. "Today we are going hunting," he responded before padding out of the entrance of the camp and into the territory to get started.

"Oh joy, Hunting. Goodie, what next? Bug chasing that's certainly surprising." He scoffed, plodding along next to his mentor. Snorting in annoyance at the thorns digging into his short pelt, the nasty things were dreadfully annoying.

"We don't have to hunt. We can go back to camp and you can stay an apprentice forever if that's what you wish," Thrushstar retorted. What was with the ungrateful attitude? No matter. Duskpaw was going to be whipped into shape somehow or another. When they finally reached the center, the leader stopped and sniffed around, finding a couple of scents already, one of which was stale. "What do you smell, Duskpaw?"

"Oh I've got an opinion whether I stay a apprentice forever or I grow into a warrior? Stunning, I though you were the one with authority." Duskpaw sassed before putting his nose to the ground and then to the air with a snort. "A frog or two, too fresh to really tell. A lizard, stale fox scent I believe. Can't tell to well by all this disgusting muck." He hissed, picking his paw up and glaring at Thrushstar and flailing the mud off his paw for added effects.

"Watch yourself..." the leader warned before moving on to the hunt. "Very good. You've got a strong nose, Duskpaw. Now, let's see if you can hunt as well as you can track."
