The lonely kit and the herb-smelling cat (Closed)

A lonesome she-cat sat in the shade of a tree, her yellow eyes glowing like the moon. They silently scanned the clearing menacingly, telling other cats not to come near. Racoonkit knew she didn't belong. There was an odd disturbance whenever she was near certain warriors and the cats who others called the Deputy, Leader, and Medicine Cat. Her mother didn't treat her like she saw other mothers treating their kits...something was different about it, like Raccoonkit wasn't even the queen's kin. This made the she-kit upset, all she wanted to do was fit in. All she wanted was for someone to care about her. 

She was apprentice age by now, and her big build made her look like she was an apprentice. Racoonkit looked older then cats her age, but she didn't mind. Others treated her differently because she looked older, or at least she thought they did. Older cats got more respect; that's how it was in her mind. Racoonkit tensed up as she heard paw steps; the medicine cat, she assumed. She scrunched up her nose at the foul scent of herbs that clung to the older cat. Raccoonkit secretly referred to her as the herb-smelling cat.

Coalspirit had been watching Racoonkit quietly ever since she wasn't able to care for her anymore. She would notice that she was often treated different and Coalspirit didn't like that. She didn't like how the queen that was taking care of her daughter didn't treat her the same as her other kits. It upset Coalspirit which was somewhat hard to do. She quietly got to her paws and made her way to Racoonkit. She had thought several time about leaving Thunderclan and taking Racoonkit with her. She then would often push the thought away as she remembered her son Swampkit who went missing a moon or so back.

Quietly the dark dusky brown she cat came over to the lonely kit. Coalspirit didn't really have the smell of herbs much clinging to her anymore but the scent often lingered. She looked to the apprentice aged kit " hello Racoonkit " she mewed.

Racoonkit looked up at Coalspirit. Her face, like usual, was dead serious. Her eyes was the only thing that spoke; they lit up brighter and seemed to smile. Though Racoonkit didn't like Coalspirit's faint scent, she still liked her personality wise. The tabby gave a slight nod to the she-cat and flicked her ear. Racoonkit hardly ever talked, and when she did it was usually when she needed to say something that absolutely had to be said.

Coalspirit noticed and smiled gently. She didn't like how she couldn't tell Racoonkit that she was her mother but she could accept maybe just being their for her. Quietly the she cat looked to her"how...are you doing today?"she mewed gently looking at her as she sat down quietly.

The tabby she-cat stared at Coalspirit and shrugged. She then looked down to her paws. I'm doing terrible, Coalspirit! I'm doing just terrible! I feel like I don't belong, I feel like something is wrong. Hurt probably showed in Racoonkit's eyes, but it was hard to see because she tried to hide it. She didn't want Coalspirit to see how hurt she was, so the kit stood up and picked up a thrush from the freshkill pile, then padded back with a newly constructed barrier hiding her emotions on her face and eyes.

Coalspirit blinked and only could guess at how it was for her daughter. She watched somewhat sadly when she went to the fresh kill pile and came back with a thrush.
