Training My Sons (CLOSED FOR DEW AND ICE)

Salmonstripe trotted into the apprentice's den. "Whitepaw! Troutpaw! Training this morning!" She whispered to her sons, before backing out of the cold, shady den. She shifted from paw to paw, wondering what their reaction would be at her waking them up so early. She could only imagine. "Mom!! What? It's not even sun-high yet! I don't wanna train!!" She sighed heavily, before padding over to the fresh-kill pile and taking out and eating a salmon. (XD)

Whitepaw's ears flicked at his mother's voice,being a light sleeper he got up easily. After stretching he padded out of his den calmly. Training? Interesting. Sitting besides his mother he set about grooming his fur neatly.

Troutpaw followed his brother out with his usual, slouchy walk, not as interested. Great, nothing like training with your sibling and mother.... He gave a yawn as he thought to himself. "Well are we gonna train or sit here like scared rabbits?" he asked, seeing the others sitting down.

Sighing, she said, "Enough of that! You two are nothing like I was when I was an apprentice! Let's go now." She growled in a stern voice, then hissed with frustration. She padded out of the camp, to the river. "Alright. Now, do you want to learn how to fish or hunt first?"

"Sorry. Uh arn't fishing and hunting the same thing?" he asked as he followed his mother.

Whitepaw flicked his ginger tail tip at his brother, "Don't correct mother, fish-breath" He teased as he kept his bright amber eyes focused on Salmonstripe.

Salmonstripe hissed at Whitepaw, "Don't call your brother a fish breath! And hunting and fishing are alike, yet require different tequnices. Now, have ethier one of you heard of the Hunters Crouch?" Her voice calm, she asked. A sharp yowl lingered in her voice, yet she relaxed.

Whitepaw nodded and got into the position Dewleaf had shown him, getting it practically perfect.

Troutpaw sat diwn an watched his amature brother.

Sighing frustrated,Salmonstripe said, "Fishing. Come on! Lets go." She showed her sons how to flick the fish which usually killed it, yet could need a bite on the throat.

Whitepaw trotted after his mother towards the river, watching her catch and kill the fish. Impressed he flicked his paws in the water, almost kit-like, sitting on the edge of the river besides his brother. Purring devilishly he "accidentally" pushed his brother into the river playfully.

Troutpaw was enjoying the scent of fish when his brother pushed him in. Akkk! He spat water out as he scrambled on the shore then sat down. He licked his fur and waited till Whitepaw was not expecting it. Then Troutpaw held out a paw, swung it up and tripped his brother, who tumbled in the river. "Ha! That's what you get!" he laughed, still dripping wet. This was probably the first time he had ever laughed or enjoyed anything.

Whitepaw reveled in the rare moment when he felt, happy. Purring he swam around in the river enjoying the coolness of it. Heading towards shore and heaving himself out of the water, his ginger and white fur drenched. Purring he charged after his brother, "I'll get you for that!" He yowled swatting at his tail playfully. Today is a good day.

"In your dreams!" he gracefully jumped out of Whitepaw's reach and sat down, grooming his fur. Wow. Is this what it's like to feel...happy? He thought to himself.

Occ- I kinda want Troutpaw to stay grumpy later on but there will always be those rare happy moments XD

OOC~ That's what Whitepaw lives for :3 I kinda want them to have a good sibling thing where they confide in each other and are "pleasant" to each other but grumpy to everyone else. Especially after all the grumpiness when they were kits.

IC~ Whitepaw leaped after his brother, colliding and rolling on the ground in a big heap of fur. He tugged on Troutpaw's scruff before letting him get up. Laying on the ground he rolled around in the sweet grass that grew besides the river, content and pleased.
