Mapleclouds elder ceremony

It was a peaceful morning with a slight breeze in the air. Birds had tweeted as they fluttered throughout the orange sky, Rockfall had slipped from the warriors den - It was a few days ever since Maplecloud had spoke with him about his decision about being an elder. Today would be his ceremony, and it was such a peaceful morning. The grey warrior had leaped onto the tall-branch, it would be sad too see one of their finest warriors retire but he had served long and well and he deserved a long rest. "Lets all cats gather under the tall-branch for a clan meeting!"

Maplecloud emerged from the warrior's den for the last time. Per usual, a cat like him would still have seasons ahead of him, but the fire moons ago had ravaged his pelt, eyes, and lungs. He didn't bother to clean his fur; he didn't have much left anyway. Large paws found their way to the rock and stood below patiently.
