Sandpaw's Assessment

"Sandpaw! It's time to get up! It's time for your assessment," Fennelcloud said as she poked her head into the apprentice's den. Since her kit came home and got a clean bill of health, she was able to train again and now it was time for her assessment.

Sandpaw heard her mother and stirred in her nest quietly soon getting to her paws. The she cat padded to her mother.

"Are you ready?" she asked as she padded out of the entrance and into the territory.

She nodded smiling " yes I'm ready " she mewed and padded after her mother

When they finally got to the center of the territory, Fennelcloud stopped and turned back to Sandpaw. "So here are the rules for the assessment: You will have until sunrise to catch as much prey as you can. You may only hunt in our territory and you will be doing it all by yourself. However, I will be keeping an eye on your progress, but you won't really even know that I'm there. If you think you're ready, go get started!" she mewed.

OOC: okay so for this, if you want, you can put all of your hunting in one big post (or we can do each catch separately but that'd just take more time). Just make sure there are a couple of misses here or there unless you just want Sandpaw to be a fantastic hunter. I'd say.. 3 pieces of prey would be good cx

Sandpaw nodded quietly. She flicked her tail for a moment before she started to padded fatter into the territory  quietly. She kept alert for any signs of prey until she came to a silent stop catching the smell of a frog. Quietly she started to sneak up on the piece of prey and pounced quickly landing on the frog holding it down  she killed it quietly before  continuing her search after hiding the piece of prey to come back for later. She didn't get too far when she caught a whiff of something else and followed it though she didn't have to much luck catching it  just as she almost caught it it escaped from her grip. She decided to not let it get to her too bad and continued on she came across two other Peices of prey she caught one but the other one had gotten away and she cursed silently before she started to now head after her last piece of prey. It happened to be another frog. She quietly came up on it and killed it quickly before she glanced up seeing it was now just turning sunrise. The Shadowclan  apprentice grabbed her frog before retrieving  her other two Peices of prey and going back to where they had orignally stopped. The she cat set her prey down at her paws and waited quietly

As the sun began to stretch above the horizon, Fennelcloud finally padded out of the tall grass surrounding them and into the small clearing where Sandpaw was waiting. "Good job, Sandpaw!" she purred. "I think you pass this assessment with flying colors! Let's go back to camp now and get some rest. You deserve it."

Sandpaw nodded smiling a little . She then picked up her prey she caught and padded back to camp with her mother.
