Earlier that evening Storm had agreed to meet Meadow outside of camp, he knew she was upset with him, because when he tried to comfort her she moved away. What did I do wrong? He wailed inside, his heart starting to break. He padded out of camp stiffly, sitting down and wrapping his thick tail around his paws he waited for his love. Watching the sun set and the stars come out he caught the faint scent of Meadow, jumping up and mewling like a lost kit, "Meadow?!"

Meadow stiffened as she recognized Storm's voice. Though she was still very angry at him for being rude and disruptive to her brother Summitpaw, she still felt a spark of love lingering deep inside her. Sighing reluctantly, the cream she-cat trudged over to Storm.

When she reached him, she dipped her head like she would to Flames, the leader of BoneClan. "Hello, Storm," Meadow meowed tensely, using all of her will strength to stop herself from lunging at him with claws out.

Storm crouched and whimpered softly, her harsh tone cutting his heart like claws. Crawling forward he tried to nuzzle her legs. "What's wrong dear?" He mewed sweetly.

Meadow stared down at the pathetic little bundle of Storm fur trying to get on her good side. She hissed exasperatedly, though she kept her temper. "You attacked my brother!" she yowled.

But with Storm calling her 'dear' like he always did, and saying it lovingly, she felt a tug of regret. I love him, but I'm too proud to admit it.

Meadow felt a ache of sadness as she saw Storm crouching. She wanted to fling herself on top of him and bury her muzzle into his fur, but she knew she had to get through this first. "Blah, blah, only with words," she mocked. "What does that matter?! Summitpaw is my brother! You don't know what it's like to be separated from family just for happiness." The cream she-cat choked on her words, but quickly recovered.

Storm sat up, eyes wide with fear. "Where's the cat I fell in love with?" He whispered, scooting away from the raging Meadow.

Storm rushed to her side, covering her face in loving licks. "Meadow I love you so much, I'm sorry for being upset I thought you were leaving us!" He wailed as his fears came tumbling out quickly.

Meadow gasped in horror. "You thought I would leave?! That's insane! I wouldn't leave you because I... well, I love you too!" She leaned into Storm, licking his ears furiously. How could I ever leave him? she wailed to herself.

Storm purred and twined his tail with hers, "I've dreamed of having a mate and family of my own, and now that dream is a reality" He mewed tears in his eyes, "The thought of losing that dream, and you set me off, I'm terribly sorry, shall I go apologize to your brother?" He begged, Anything to make her happy again!
