Duskfall came out of the warrior's den to the smell of RiverClan in camp. The deputy slinked over, fur flat against his back and his claws drawn at the sight. Though he settled down once he saw Mistfeather, and the two warriors came with kits. Despite his loathing for the fishfaced cats across the river, even he had to acknowledge they had a code of honour. It was unlikely they were invading with two kits in tow, so he relaxed a little and approached the group waiting outside Spottedstar's den.

"What brings you here, Mistfeather? And why are they two kits with you?" Duskfall asked as he came over, ignoring Soarinwing and Coalspirit as he approached. He had yet to tell Spottedstar what had transpired between the two cats, originally planning to do so today, but with RiverClan cats here, he'd told his tongue for a little longer.

Salmonstripe placed Swampkit down. "Greetings, Duskfall. I have found some kits dropped by a hawk when I was on a patrol. They smelled a very bit like ThunderClan, so RiverClan has decided to do the right thing and see if any queens lost kits? We mean no harm to ThunderClan..." The queen explained.

Frozenflame kept his mouth shut when Duskfall came and he sat down, watching the Riverclan cats with slitted eyes.

Stormstrike left her claws out, but kept quiet.

Soaringwing spoke up. "Nobody lost their kits," he said rather harshly, shooting a look at Duskfall that told him to not mention that Coalspirit's kits had been taken by a hawk. I hope he understands that Coalspirit and I want them in Riverclan, he thought.

Spottedstar came out of her den, keeping her gaze on the Riverclan cats and then the two kits. "If you don't think they are yours then they are a rouges or ours." What kind of cat brought a clan kits and then didn't know who the parents were. "If they smell of Thunderclan, hand them over. Either we have a shy queen or a traitor. Possibly mating with one of your clan?" She turned her head to her cats. "Because I will exile any who choose a Riverclan mate again." She went closer to the kits, glaring at the she-cat, wanting to smell and hold them herself. She didn't trust these thieving cats more than a twoleg.

OOC: Don't know much to say since I didn't see she had kits o.o

Robinflight took a few steps closer from where she was, though she was just on the edge of the crowd. Spottedstar's threat of exiling a traitor if they were found rang through her ears. That's oddly familiar. She thought, and her eyes traced the crowd and landed on a certain orange-furred tabby tom who'd had this problem before. But that doesn't make sense. It'd have to be a ThunderClan queen who birthed them and then left them on RiverClan territory. She hoped there wasn't really a traitor, and that the RiverClan cats were mistaken. It was hard to trust her Clanmates when she knew almost any of them could be lying to her face.

Mistfeather's fur bristled at the aggressive welcome. She nodded at the deputy, who had some senses by not aggrivating the she-cat any more. She turned to Spottedstar, even more take back by her hostility. It was obvious ThunderClan had no sense of diplomacy.

"If one of my clanmates has been.. with one of your warriors, I would know," she spat in return.

"As much as I despise your clan, I thought it best to inform you of these missing kits, seeing as they have your wretched stench. But it appears you have no claim to them. They were found on our territory and are therefore our kits," she huffed and stepped forward to protect the bundles. She knew the possible consequences of this meeting, but the abrasive attitude was putting the deputy on edge.

"We came here as an act of respect, and I had hoped to earn some back. If you or any of your clanmates have a problem with this visit, you will have to speak with Fishstar at the next gathering." With that she whipped around and gestured for Dewleaf and Salmonstripe to follow, with the two kits. She held a very intense gaze as she wadded through the crowd and out the camp entrance. Fishstar will not be pleased.

Salmonstripe nodded, and picked up the kits. She padded after Mistfeather, quietly.

Raccoonkit stayed behind Salmonstripe's leg when she had been set down. The she-kit didn't squirm in her mouth when she was picked back up again because she could sense stress in the air and she didn't want to add to it.

"Spottedstar." Duskfall whispered, coming over to his leader tensely. The tom was torn between chasing the leaving RiverClan she-cat and his pride in ThunderClan. He wanted to claim those kits, but he couldn't possibly conceive how to do it without shaming their clan in front of these outsiders. "I know who's kits they are. Those two belong to ThunderClan."

"If they were Thunderclan's, don't you think the queen would claim them?" Soaringwing barged in to Duskfall's conversation. "And they all ready left, so there is no need to chase after them. Those kits were found on Riverclan's territory, and two measly kittens won't make a difference in our clan."

Spottedstar snapped her head to Duskfall, then to Soaringwing. "Snap your trap those kits are ours! Those theives!" She growled to her own clanmate, not seeing how he could not want their own. She thought back to her own kits. She could never leave them like this. "Whoevers kits those are, you are pathetic. Leaving your own to rot in a clan like that! Forbidden relationship or not, those are kin. As a mother myself, you are a disgrace to all queens of this clan. Punishment, will be served. I will not speak this matter until later though."
She glared towards the tunnel, and took chase.

OOC: Ay can we attack those kitties for those kits. Instead of running poofing o3o

The deputy had enough dealings with the forest dwellers for one day, but Spottedstar did not. Hearing the angry howling from the she-cat, Mistfeather looked back to find the leader charging after them herself. Growling rather quietly she paused in her step and stood firmly. "Salmonstripe, get those kits back to camp. Send a patrol to come find us if we don't return," she ordered, not taking her green eyes off of Spottedstar. "As much as I hate to say, prepare for a fight, Dewleaf. Hopefully, we won't have to."
