A new warrior and a new kit

The newly named Dewleaf sighed as she struggled to keep the young kit still for his grooming, If he's going to meet my father he must be clean! When she finished licking the last tuft of fur the young kit scowled at her, purring in amusement she scanned the clearing for the familiar pelt of her father. She had to admit she was a bit nervous, the young ginger and white kitten could act like a grumpy elder, and that was when he was in a good mood! She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, He will like him.

OOC~ Just in case you didn't catch it somewhere, he is adopted by Salmonstripe but to him Dewleaf is his mother figure. It's this plot we got going.

Whitekit gave several mews of complaint as the silver tabby groomed him spotless, "I'm clean! Keep grooming me and i'll be furless!" He scowled at her and sat beside her. His whiskers twitched happily as he leaned into her sleek pelt thinking about this cat, Patchface, he was supposed to meet. Dewleaf had sounded very nervous when she had spoken to him about her adopted father so he reluctantly agreed to be on his best behavior.

Patchface trotted from the entrance of the camp, tail swishing elegantly. He approached his adopted daughter, giving a nod of acknowledgement. He slowed his pace until he finally halted, his ears careening left and right. "Dewleaf," he rumbled, eyes dashing about. He seemed confused and lost, as if he'd never been in camp before. "So, where is the little guy?" He'd hardly noticed the little kitten hiding behind the silver tabby she-cat.

Dewleaf nudged the ginger and white kitten forward, she tilted her head and gently nudged her father, "Something troubling you Patchface?" She mewed catching his odd behavior.

Whitekit liked how the older tom carried himself and decided to do the same, he stood up and fluffed out his tail neatly. "I'm Whitekit" He mewed proudly while looking up with bright amber eyes.

ic: Patchface spotted a bundle of fur scramble from behind Dewleaf. He dipped his head to the kitten, greatly pleased by his posture and stance. "I'm Patchface," he greeted before smoothing down his own fur. He nodded to Dewleaf. "You've presented him very well. I'm glad you're the cat to be raising him," he purred, rasping his tongue across her forehead.

Whitekit purred at the older cat's comments, "You look like me!"  Except he's the biggest cat I've ever seen! He had to strain his neck to look up at Patchface, the only difference was that Patchface was brown and white. He had to relieve his neck pain and when he looked down he noticed a stray piece of moss sticking to Patchface's leg, crouching he swatted at it with his only whitepaw.

Dewleaf purred, "Thank you!" At Whitekit's remark she nodded, Almost identical! Her thoughts stopped as Whitekit swatted at her father. "Whitekit!" She gave a tiny gasp wondering how he would react.
