Don't mind little old me, just chillin' by the border...(open)

"Oh, nothing much. I just met a..." Emberpaw was cut off when some nosey Thunderclan cat shouted across the border. "Ay, you! Keep your hollerin' on your side of the border! There ain't no Greenleafs in Windclan, you mouse-brain," he called back. Man, can a medicine cat have some peace and quiet while picking herbs?

Mousepaw perked her ears up at the sound of voices. Surprised, she slowly crawled back to Emberpaw.

Slatepaw watched, amused, as the ThunderClan tom and Emberpaw bickered. "Yes, I'm related to him, Emberpaw!" The gray tom turned to Batwing. "Greenleaf was my father." he stated simply, not sure how much to tell him.

Batwing arrogantly wrinkled his muzzle at the scent of WindClan and ShadowClan mixed together. "I'm a warrior, I believe I can do what I please as long as I'm not breaking the Code!" he sniffed haughtily. He made sure to talk extra loud, just to annoy this WindClan medicine apprentice.

Emberpaw was a bit surprised at what Slatepaw had said, but was more focused on the Thunderclan cat. He laughed at the black warrior's response. "So can I, Thunderclan cat, but the only difference is that I won't get attacked for what I do...your not allowed to attack a medicine cat." He sat up straighter and puffed his chest out, smiling. He thought he heard something, like the sound of someone moving along the ground as if they were crawling, but ignored it

Slatepaw plopped down onto his haunches and watched both his uncle and friend fight. "You know, you don't have to-" He bit off his sentence, finishing it in his head. act like you own the place even though you're a medicine cat... The tom immediately felt guilty for what he had thought. "Nevermind." Turning away, he padded off. "Bye, Emberpaw, Batwing, Mousepaw." he called without looking back.

Batwing sneered at Emberpaw's attidute, before dipping his head and disappearing. He had to tell Frozenflame, Hollyberry, and the others about this!
