Left Alone (cont.) [open~]

Fennelcloud calmly padded into the camp with Hades and Angel still hanging from her jaws. She didn't care what Thrushstar thought at the moment. Thankfully she was really the only one that could think that way since he was her father, but she was going to take care of these kits. Even if it was only for a little while. She was going to make sure they were healthy before they went back out on their own or before she tried to find their mother again. When she got into the middle of the clearing, she put the two kits down before walking over to the freshkill pile and grabbing a mouse that was big enough for the both of them. It was probably their first time eating real meat so this was a good start. Plenty of meat to fill their bellies and it was easy to chew. "Here you go," she mewed as she placed it in front of them. "Eat up!"

Angel opened her eyes after closing them half way there. She blinked her eyes before sniffing at the mouse for a moment. The small white she kit looked to her brother hades as he padded over and took a bite from the mouse. Angel blinked and took a bite of it herself and a small cute puur escaped her soon enough both kits ate their fill and laid down for a moment looking up at Fennelcloud

She was actually very surprised at how much the two kits ate, but at least they were full and wanted to eat. "Looks like you two are full!" she purred, tossing out the remains of the mouse quickly before going back to the kits. "Welcome to Shadowclan," she mewed. "There are several cats that live here and some are your age! Maybe you can make some friends while you're here. Are you two thirsty?"

Angel smiled and nodded a little"yeah..I'm thirsty"She mewed. "I'm not thirsty"Hades mewed quietly. He flicked his tail. Angel smiled a little and looked around flicking her small fuzzy white tail.

"Give me one second!" The queen mewed as she padded to the other side of the camp to grab some moss. Giving it a quick dip in the puddle nearby full of fresh water, she came back to the kits and placed the moss down in front of them. "It's not a lot of water, but it is clean! Drink up!" she purred.

Angel bein the only one thirsty drank quietly before laying down and looking up at Fennelcloud."so why is your name so weird?"Hades asked remembering when she had told them her name.

Weird? Her name was weird? Their names were weird. They had no room to walk. What was an angel or a.. Hades? She had no idea, but she knew why she had her name. "Well, my name is based on things in our territory. Fennel is a plant that looks kind of orange like my fur. I'm not sure why the last part of my name is 'cloud' though. The leader Thrushstar-- who is named after a bird called a Thrush and -star means that he is a leader. Any cat with -star at the end of their name means that they are a leader of one of the four clans," she replied, feeling a little proud that she could say that her father was the leader even if the kits didn't know what that meant.

"Oh well we don't really know why we were named what we were..."Angel mewed. The she kit was quiet for a moment thinking about something. Though her brother beat her to saying it."so wait if we are going to stay here should we change our names?"Hades asked. Angel blinked and nodded wanting to know herself. Both kits looked at her quietly.

Fennelcloud thought about it. If they did stay, they would have to adopt clan names. "Well, the thing about joining this clan is that there's a lot to learn and it's going to get kind of difficult. I'll be here with you all of the way, though. You will start by living in the nursery and when you reach six moons, you will become apprentices. You'll learn how to hunt like the warriors such as myself in the clan, you will learn how to fight, and you will learn how to be loyal to your clan. You'll make a lot of good friends that will stick with you like family. Do you two think you could handle that?" she asked.

Both kits listened quite intently as she explained. Angel smiled some and nodded"yeah I can handle that"she mewed looking up at Fennelcloud."same here"Hades mewed. The black Tom kit like the idea of being with others those who would be his friends and at the same be close like family more of a family then their mother. Angel thought the same.

"Okay, as long as you are sure," Fennelcloud mewed. Looking at the two with how different they were, she tried to think of names for them. "Well, if you are going to join us, then you will need our kinds of names." Thinking for a moment, she finally came up with some. "Hades, from now on until you can become an apprentice, you will be Crowkit. Angel, from now until you can become an apprentice, you will be known as Dovekit. Crowkit because you're black like a crow and Dovekit because you're white like a dove!" she purred. "Welcome to Shadowclan!"

Dovekit blinked then smiled at her new name then looked to her brother thinking it might take them both a little while to get used to their new names but they'd catch on soon. She smiled flicking her white tail as she looked back at Fennelcloud smiling. Crowkit smiled and nodded"so what do we do now?"he asked.

"I'll show you to the nursery. For right now, you can get some rest. You'll have a big day tomorrow!" she mewed as she walked towards the nursery.

They followed her quietly smiling some.
