| It was pitch black, as a black she-cat padded through the darkness of the forest. She passed over the ashes of the trees, and the burnt husks of animals to reach Sunningrocks near where a group of cats were resting. In her jaws was a precious cargo, a white kit who's green eyes were barely able to open.
The path was rough, and she had to cross Thunderpath, after Thunderpath, wandering through the twolegplaces to get here but it was worth it. Sneaking up as close as she dared, she dropped off the little kit onto a pile of moss she quickly gathered.
"Be safe and grow up well, Silkkit." She purred, giving one last fond lick onto the kit's head. The black she-cat took off afterwards, yowling for someone nearby to hear and come to Silkkit, before running off herself. |

| The little white she-kit started mewling. Help! Ahh! Food, Mommy, I'm hungry! Silkkit thought, and started crying loudly. "Mama!" Silkkit mewled, before colapsing with hunger, and tiredness.

| Turtlepaw was wandering around the border that ThunderClan shared with Twolegplace when she heard the mewling of a kit. "Huh?" She walked towards the noise to see a small white she-kit lying on a pile of moss. Remembering the warrior code said that no respectable cat could ignore a kit in pain, the tortoiseshell apprentice picked the kit up by the scruff of her neck and started going back to ThunderClan camp. | Silkkit opened her eyes, and mewed, "I'm hungry." Her stomach growled and the trees whispered. I'm going to die if I don't get any milk soon, Silkkit thought, and started squirming around.
