Hanging out with no choice but to (open)

A grey and ginger flecked she cat sat,well more or less laid just beside the apprentices den. Sandpaw gingerly licked her fur grooming it flicking a tad bit every time her rough tongue moved over her recent wound that only gotten patched up a day ago. She didn't like the idea of being cooped up in camp for the next day or two because of her wounds but she had no choice. She looked around camp quietly before resting her head on her paws. Though her ear flicked when she heard pawsteps.

"How are you?" her mother asked, padding out of the warrior's den and towards her kit. She had been so worried for her kits' safety and here they were with two injured and one dead. It hurt, but she was thankful for the lives she still had with her. "Are you feeling any better?"

Sandpaw blinked and lifted her head up upon hearing her mother's voice."good i...guess " Sandpaw mewed in response to her mother's question as to how she was."I feel somewhat better but the wound still hurts...I've been confined to camp for the next day or two...."Sandpaw mewed obviously not so much happy about it.

The queen took a deep breath before sitting down next to Sandpaw. "Well it's for good reason!" she responded. "You need to get all of the energy back that you can. That was quite a wound. I'm just glad that you're okay." Licking the apprentice's head, she looked down at the injury. It still hurt her to look at it, mainly for the pain that Sandpaw must feel from it. "How much can you move around?"

"I know.. I know mom " Sandpaw mewed quietly smiling a little when her mother licked her on the head. She then blinked listening"well... I can move around for a little bit then the wound acts up and I have to rest" Sandpaw mewed.
