Staying up late [OPEN]

Moraykit looked up at the dark blue sky, blinking a few times to let her lighter blue eyes get used to the darkness so she could see the almost all of the stars. The white moon shone on her body, making her gray-and-cream flecked fur seem like the substance twoleg monsters were made out of. The young cat rolled over to her back and continued to stare up at the sky. Her tail slowly waved from right to left, without her actually noticing it. The longer she layed there on the ground, the more celestial bodies she could make out in the dark blur that was the rest of outer space. After a long while of thinking about casual thoughts like who she would play with tomorrow or how old she was right now, a new thought crossed the mind of the kitten. The other cats in the Clan had always told her that the shining stars up in the sky were dead warriors who now lived in StarClan. Moraykit thought it was a nice idea to follow, but she had always thought of a few things as a bit strange. Cats didn't shine, right? Let alone dying cats. When she looked at the freshkill pile, it didn't shine either. Then how could she see the dead cats from down here? She had heard stories about a glowing, shining and burning substance called 'fire'. Elders would always describe it as 'millions of suns in the air that are very destructive'. Moraykit mewed softly when she suddenly got an idea. So fire was like the sun, very powerful. Stars were also like the sun, so they were probably powerful as well. What if every cat had a burning power inside of them that ascended to the sky when they died? It would explain the fact that some stars were brighter than others. Maybe those cats had nicer or more powerful personalities? It could very well be. I hope that when I die, I'll become one of those brighter stars! Then everyone will see and remember me. The kit thought to herself. If the other cats speak the truth, at least- Moraykit rolled over to her front and put her paws steady on the ground because the fact that her neck was constantly exposed to the sky made her nervous. What if there was nothing after death? What if all of her thoughts would just disappear into the nothingness after she died? She didn't want to die! Even if StarClan was real, what if she missed the path to the all-knowing Clan and would just spend the rest of eternity wandering in the dark blue nothingness? What was even there?
With a very soft meow, the young cat dug her claws in the ground a little. She would think of those things another time, this was getting scary! Everything seemed to be rotating a little, all of the thinking had made her dizzy. Moraykit continued to stare out of the nursery, too wrapped up in her own thoughts to notice the other cat that was also awake that night.

The young cat only noticed the soft pawsteps of the other cat when she was just a few whisker lengths away. Surprised by the sudden appearance of the tabby cat, she lifted up her head swiftly and stared at the silhouette with wide blue eyes from which utter confusion could be read like written in a book. At first, Moraykit was mostly taken aback because of her thoughts about dying and the afterlife, but she quickly calmed down when she noticed the cat wasn't a stranger at all. "Moraykit, what're you doing?" the orange tabby she-cat, better known as Petalkit, yawned. Moraykit quickly sheated her claws again and relaxed her body as much as possible. 'Eh- Well, I couldn't sleep, so I decided to look at the sky. It looks very nice at night- in my opinion, at least' She mewed softly, careful not to wake any of the other cats up. It was partially true, she loved watching the sky at night. She didn't come here just because she couldn't sleep, though. But it'd be a little weird to say to someone you woke up because you felt like thinking about life. 'Were you not able to sleep either?' she asked the other kit.
