Religion, hurray

What do you believe in, WCC? :P Do you subscribe to any main religion? Are you athiest? I'm curious to know what everyone's beliefs are.

DISCLAIMER: Not trying to invite a religious debate. It's just honest curiosity. Pls do not kill each other.

(I guess you could say I'm an athiest, but I don't really like calling myself one. Former Bible-thumping Christian, went to a non-denominational church for a long time, have a decent knowledge of the Bible and have a few verses memorized still. Religion's still pretty interesting and cool to me regardless).

Grew up in a catholic family, went to an Evangelistic Anglican School, and went to church every Sunday. While I have doubts in my faith quite often, I classify as a Christian. A bad one, but still, I know my bible, my prayers and keep the faith.

I come from a two sided family of Christians and Jews, so it's a bit complicated. I'm being raised Jewish, and my Bat Mitzvah is coming up in about 2-3 years, so I'd say Jewish. But I don't go to Temple nor Sinagog, and I don't go to Church much but I read the bible which I happily do on the other side of my family.

I was born and raised a Christian. I on the weeks when I am with my mom I go to the church and participate in events. I know quite a lot of stories from the bible, and a couple of verses along with the Lord's Prayer. But I don't spend my time reading it. The church I go to is Methodist and has an open prayer, so anyone can come in and prey despite whatever sub branch of Christian they are. Any one is welcome, which I find pretty cool.

I was raised Christian, but I considered myself an athiest for the longest time. I even went to a private Christian school (which I still go to, by the way), and still continued to be an athiest. However, I became a Christian just a couple months ago. I don't go to church or regularly read my Bible (and have little to no knowledge about it), but I'm still a "born-again Christian" and proud of it. ^^

Was born a Catholic. Went to Catholic school and went to Church every Sunday until I was about 14. Now, I am an athiest, and I'm coo' with that.

My mom's side is Jewish, my dad's side is Christian. I grew up Jewish, then became Atheist at 14.

Oh gosh, well... Christian..? I'm not too sure. But I think I fit into a sub-christian category... Didn't grow up as one though, only recently have I gotten into the church.. so.

I was raised in a Christian home and I'm still a proud Christian. I go to a mixed (traditional and contemporary) baptist church on a regular basis even in college. I'm very thankful to have a lot of good friends that go with me.

Was born to a two-sided family where it was Catholic and Buddhist, but raised as a Catholic. Still go to church every Sunday, and I plan to get confirmed into the church next year. Proud to be Catholic <3

If this is correct, Jain so tell me how it should be.

yay. Christianity.

Grew up going to a presbyterian church with extremely religious and aunt cousins now and then growing up, but was never really into it. None of the stories made sense and I didn't get why people threw their hands up and reaches to the stage while they sang. I tried it once and it was hella weird for me. I remember my aunt looking at me like, "8D" but i was like, nope. too weird.

Then I went through my emo/edgy years in Middle/HS. Like psh. Of course religion isn't real. It's stupid. Just lies and problems for the world. [cue hair flip] That was all sorts of good fun.

Then family hit hard times. Never really go to sunday church, but we started to going to these religious help groups at my aunt's church, for things like help, grief, depression, whatever.
It was cool, I guess. Got free dinner and desert. Read bible things. Did lots of crying. Found out I had major codependency issues. 'da best.

and then yup. was like, "shiet. i guess i'm a christian now then."

I was born in a Christian family and I am a Christian. I was just moved to a Chistian school and I has been one all my life, but I think I am a better Christian now then I was a few years ago.
