| A dark she kit woke next to the silver and gray queen who was her mother. Her icy blue eyes sparkling. Coalkit nudged her mother in somewhat bit of excitement"Momma! Momma! Wake up, momma"Coalkit mewed.
Softsong opened one eye slowly to look at her daughter Coalkit and she purred softly."yes Coalkit?"she mewed opening both icy blue eyes.
"Momma can i go outside the nursery."She mewed.
Softsong smiled"sure just as long as you dont get into too much trouble"She purref and slowly sat up.
Coalkit smiled and without waiting for her mother she scampered outside of the nursery.

| Duskfall was returning from a patrol when he came across his mate and kit in the clearing. Shaking off any debris, he approached his mate with a friendly purr, nuzzling her affectionately, before heading towards their kit. Little Coalkit, the sole survivor of their first litter. He gazed at her with pride, she was healthy kit and strong too. She could make a fine warrior one day, although he noticed that she wasn't as interested in rough play as most kits her age was. Perhaps she was destined for another path?

| "You should meet some of apprentices, you'll be one soon enough. Leave your old father to spend some time with your mother." He settled down next to his mate, keeping a watchful eye over his kit. He was tired from the patrol and needed a moment of quiet. But should there be no one around, he was willing to get up for a game of tag. |
