Yeah, we lost [For all the TC Cats]

Duskfall stumbled back to camp with his fellow clanmates besides him. They'd lost, but they had fought valiantly. Each cat proving their worth before Starclan with their loyalty to clan and friends. He was honoured to fight amongst so many brave warriors, and he thanked Starclan all of them made it home safely.

Sunningrocks was still Riverclan's, but one day, one day they'd take it from them and make the river the official border. But for now, they all needed to rest, and needed the attentions of Nightfire. Each one of them bore wounds from the fights, and were in bad shape. But as the cat that had led them to battle, it was his duty to speak to Spottedstar about what had happened. So he left his clanmates in the clearing, ordering an apprentice to fetch Nightfire before leaving to speak to his leader.

OOC: Y'all can rest, reflect and heal.

Thornfang limped back to camp with his clan mates. He went slow to make sure everyone was at least making it to camp even if they where injure like he was. When Thornfang got to camp he sighed at the loss clan suffered. He began licking a deep gash on his side he had recieve in battle.

Poppypaw had approached from the apprentice's den, surprised to see that Duskfall had made it back although the news didn't seem to be very good news. Her ears quickly perked and she rushed forward towards the patrol. She knew that a few of her clan-mates were going to claim sunningrocks and avenge a fellow warrior but she didn't think that having a brutal battle would be the way too do it, especially if they've been brutally defeated. Her ears flattened and she quickly looked up towards Duskfall, a dozen questions buzzing through her mind but she knew it was best if she didn't ask.
"Here let me help you to the Medicines den! You all need to rest." Poppypaw spoke to no one in particualr her gaze scanning through the injured cats.

"Ok but help the others first." Thornfang said to the apprentice. HE wanted to make sure his clanmates wre helped before him

Specklefur was maybe the last to slip into the camp, she was still fluffed up a bit and she just wanted to tear her claws into something her blood was pumping but she was also rather angry but it couldn't be helped. Letting a sigh escape her maw Speckle limped towards the side of the camp and flopped into the dirt, turning to look lopsidedly at her clanmates with a snort, she was the second to last one standing which she was rather proud of. Picking her paw up from the ground the she-cat licked at her soaking arm.

Softsong padded into the camp limping just slightly. She looked at Thornfang then Poppypaw and then Specklefur. She limped for a moment before finding a sppt to lay down and she did quietly.

Tawnypaw was already in camp. She was bleeding horribly and pain seared through her small body, but she sat proud as she welcomed her clanmates back to camp. She licked her wounds. "Where is Nightfire?" She hissed under her breath.

Giving a wheeze, Nightfire slightly limped out of the Medicine Cat den, looking at the marred cats. What a bunch. Coughing slightly, he called out. "Worst injuries call out now, lesser ones line up near the den."

Spottedstar poked her head outside her den, looking at the group coming in. Looks like a lose, but that wouldn't be that bad. She gave a promise to Dewstar that she would lead the attack to take back Sunningrocks. And she would keep that promise.

Tawnypaw blinked. "One of the worst, right here!" She mewed and walked over.

OOC: gunna have her die from injury

Lavenderpaw limped into camp, head hung low. Her first battle, and her clan lost. At least she had taken down Patchpaw. Her injuries weren't too bad, and could wait.

"Spottedstar!" Duskfall called out, approaching their leader, limping as his left hind leg wasn't in great shape from the fight. But he'd live. There was an undercurrent of guilt though when he looked at his fellow clanmates, seeing they were injured due to a fight he'd lead. He should have been faster, stronger, wiser, and perhaps then they would have won. But he knew it was a futile train of thought, he could ponder on what ifs forever and only be disappointed. So he took a deep breath and spoke.

"We lost. Our clan fought well, with bravery and courage. Silverpaw, Lavenderpaw, and Tawnypaw proved themselves before the clan, and so did Softsong. But Riverclan had the advantage with the river, and defeated us. I am willing to shoulder the blame for this failure. Sunningrocks is still Riverclan territory, and Riverclan hold a victory against us."

Softsong sat up slowly. She knew she didn't need immediat attention for her injures she only had a few scratches on her but nothing really bad and she had a slightlimp but she was overall fineshe lixked her fur quietly

When Nightfire call for injure cats Thornfang look up from licking the gash on his side. The wound was still bleed and He winced as he stand up. He began limp towards the medicine den to get the wound treated.

Spottedstar gave a nod and looked at the cats slowly getting back together. "What was the reason for the attack?" A battle was a battle. And she would lead the next one, and they would win. She just had to wait for the right moment.

He heard Tawnypaw call out, and saw from afar that she was bleeding profusely. So he hobbled back inside and grabbed some basic herbs before going to her. "Are there any injuries I cant see?" he mumbled as he softly prodded around the wounds, just in case their was a worse one underneath.

"While you'd been gone, Riverclan and Thunderclan had multiple skirmishes along the border. They acted as though their claim on Sunningrocks is absolute, and in one altercation, my sister..." Duskfall paused to collect his thoughts, grief still affecting him. "My sister, Coalfur, was killed when a Riverclan she-cat taunted her into crossing the river when the ice was thin. She fell through and died... I couldn't just sit by and do nothing. What if it was an apprentice next time? Or a kit? I thought it was time we taught those fish-faced weasels a lesson. I thought I was acting in the best interests of the clan, but instead, I brought ruin and humiliation."

Despite his injuries, he itched for revenge, and if Spottedstar chose to fight once more in the future, Duskfall would be the first to join her side. He had bested the she-cat that had claimed Coalfur's life, but Sunningrocks remained Riverclan territory. The war was far from over in his eyes, but whatever Spottedstar chose, he'd follow her as she was his leader.
