Always Been Alone Here...

Dawnkit sighed and stared at the entrance to the camp, thinking about her family. She looked around at the camp she lives in, and went back to the time she came here. Nobody thought a little kit, 2 moons old, would stumble straight into the camp. She was known as Dawn so the leader named her Dawnkit. Nobody really wanted to take care of her so she had learned to take care of herself. Alone. She sighed again. No kit really wanted to be her friend, no one inside Shadowclan's camp really wanted to take care of her. But she understood that. She explored outside of camp, and even would go outside of the territory when nobody was watching her. She sometimes wondered why Shadowclan hadn't exiled her yet. After prying her eyes away from the entrance, knowing she really shouldn't rush out of camp, she was already in trouble for the last time she snuck out of camp. She decided to play by herself. She rolled around and batted at a random moss ball she found that day.

Bravekit looked over at the she-kit who was a whole moon younger. He was shy about talking with anyone because of the pure white star on his forehead. It contrasted with the rest of his black fur. His sapphire blue eyes watched Dawnkit play with a nossball alone and decided to play. He walked over to her cautiously. "Hey."

Dawnkit looked up at Bravekit. She stopped playing with the moss ball and dropped it in front of her. She stared at him for a long while, then she managed to say "Are you... talking to me?"

She realized how weird she had sounded, going with she had stared at him for about two minutes then asked that question. She mumbled, a little embarrassed, "I mean... Hi. Bravekit, right?" She finally saw the star on his fore head. "Wow, that's awesome!" She gasped.

Bravekit shrugged, "It's boring and nothing too special. Just a marking like your fur has. And do you want to play mossball together Dawnkit?" He smiled and found her awkwardness funny anf enjoyable.

"I think it means your going to be leader someday, I mean, nobody else has one. I bet you'd be a good leader too. And okay!" She batted the ball over to him

HollyPaw spotted the two kits playing she had just been made an apprentice so that meant she didn't have time to play any games. "Aw look at the kitties playing!" She snickered to herself.

Dawnkit spotted Hollypaw and looked away, forcing herself to ignore the snickering. 'There's nothing wrong with playing games, she didn't mean any harm anyway.' Dawnkit thought.
