Wailingpaw and Icepaw's Warrior Ceremony

Fishpelt landed gracefully atop the willow branch and raised her head to call, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a clan meeting!"

As bodies began to emerge from the dens and gather in the center of the camp, the deputy's eyes skimmed the growing crowd for two young apprentices. Today was a momentous occasion for the young cats, and Fishpelt already felt her pride surging beneath her pelt.

Shimmerlight padded into camp, noticing a clan meeting was happening. The she-cat sat down to see what would happen.

OOC: AND ICEPAW

Icepaw padded into camp, running and bounding over cats and twigs. Mistheart said today was her ceremony. She halted to a stop at the front and gave her best smile, waiting for her brother.

Wailingpaw approached the Willow branch towards his mentor, fur (as usual) perfectly groomed for this momentous occasion. He was undeniably excited and prepared to become a warrior. There was no greater honour.

The tabby she-cat couldn't help but feel a little excited at the prospect of naming not one, but two new warriors. She watched the apprentices seat themselves before her and began, "Today, in Sunstar's stead, I shall be naming our newest pair of warriors. Wailingpaw, Icepaw, please step forward."

Icepaw calmed herself. She quickly licked down stray patches of fur and stepped up, but her paws wiggled in excitement.

Taking a deep breath, Wailingpaw stepped forward holding his head high as eyes turned to Icepaw and him. He was sure his parents Snowfrost and Rippletail were watching, he didn't want to embarass them. They raised a fine pair of cats and he wanted them to know.

"Then from this moment on," Fishpelt stated, "you will be known as Wailingstream and Ice___ (whatever you wanted). I welcome you both as full warriors of RiverClan."

Fishpelt raised a joyous chorus of "Wailingstream!"s and "Ice____!"s with the rest of the gathered cats.

OOC: Sorry this is a bit overdue, I've been busy lately. I'll edit in Icepaw's warrior name once I know what it is.

Icetail smiled. "Thank you, Fishpelt." She touched noses with him and went to prepare for her vigil.

Wailingstream dipped his head in thanks and respect to his mentor and deputy, Fishpelt. He was happy to be a warrior, and was prepared to fight for his clan to the end. And now it was time for him to hold a silent vigil over camp with his sister.
