Shadekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Falconstar jumped to the top of the Tallrock and called out to his clan, "All cats able to catch their own prey gather beneath the Tallrock for a clan meeting!"

Honeydrop walked out to the Tallrock. Today was her daughters apprentice ceremony! Though she would miss being with her daughter all the time, she was glad to be out of that nursery.

Cobaltfire and Wolftrot appeared from the warrior's den to visit the ceremony. It was always exciting to see new kits made apprentices.

Shadekit bounded out next to her mother before promptly tripping and falling on her face in front of her whole clan. Embarrassed, she climbed back onto her feet before sitting down with the rest of her clan.

The clan all laughed and laughed. Falconstar continued once Shadekit had made her way to the meeting. "Shadekit, it is time for you to become an apprentice. You will now be know as Shadepaw, and your mentor will be Cobaltfire."

Cobaltfire's eyes widened in surprise when she was chosen to be a mentor! She was very happy that Falconstar trusted her to be a mentor. She stood to touch noses with Shadepaw, with a friendly smile.

Wolftrot smiled as his sister was chosen to mentor Shadepaw. He was sure she'd do a great job.

Honeydrop ran up to her daughter and pressed her nose to hers. "I'm so proud of you! You'll be the greatest warrior in the whole forest!" She promised and then walked to Cobaltfire. "You're going to be a great mentor. Think of it: My best friend- my daughters mentor! What luck, isn't it?" She laughed.

Shadepaw bounded up to her new mentor and touched noses with her. "I can't wait to be your apprentice. When do we start?" she said, rather loudly.

Cobaltfire chuckled, as she was reminded of her own apprentice days. "Let's start with a tour of the territory, shall we?"
