Do you wanna build a snowman? (Open)

Shimmerpaw sat on a smooth rock, staring out at the frozen river. She had never seen anything frozen before. Earlier she had walked on it, but slipped and fell, hurting her leg. She was no medicine cat, but she was sure it wasn't broken, but it still hurt. She sighed and licked her hurt leg. Something wet and cold landed on her fur and seeped through to her skin. She turned around, but nobody was there. It happened again. Shimmerpaw looked around, confused, then she saw what it was. Flakes of snow were falling from the grey sky. The newly appointed apprentice smiled, then caught one on her paw. She giggled and stuck out her tongue, trying to see how many she could catch. Soon she forgot about the pain in her leg, and snow coated the ground. Shimmerpaw jumped around and played in the snow, rolling around and digging in it. A noise from behind frightened her. She turned around to see who or what it was.

Rainstreak was pushing her way from the frozen bushes, cursing under her breath. However, she stopped when she saw an apprentice standing by the river. "Oops..." she muttered sheepishly. "Hello, Shimmerpaw! How are you today?" she asked cheerfully.

Shimmerpaw's frightened look turned to a warm, welcoming look. "I'm doing great, how are you?" She asked, suddenly noticing that she was almost completely covered in snow. She shook it off like a dog, flinging snow everywhere, but some snow still stuck to her long fur.

Rainstreak opened her mouth to reply, but spluttered as snow was flung into her mouth, in her eyes, and on her fur. Shaking it off, she grinned. "I'm great! Except for the fact that all off this," She gestured to the world around them. "is freezing my tail off!"

"Whoops, I'm sorry," Shimmerpaw said as she noticed that she had shook snow all over Rainstreak. She laughed and nodded. "Yeah, it is quite cold, but the snow is fun to play in!" Shimmerpaw kicked some snow into the air, making sure not to hit Rainstreak.

An idea popped into the warrior's head. "Hey, when I was a kit, I used to make snow-cats. They're really fun to make!" she exclaimed, pushing some snow together to make the rough form of a sleeping cat. She smoothed her paw down the cat's back, making the surface not as rough. After smoothing the whole surface, she poked two eyes into the head with her claws. Rainstreak brought her paw down on the front of the snow-cat's head, leaving a flat muzzle. She smoothed the surface, leaving gentle curves. The cat found two pebbles, and six small sticks. She stuck the rocks into the dents for eyes, and placed three sticks on each side of the muzzle. She pushed more snow to make a tail, and backed away. "There." she meowed, brushing her paws off after all of her hard work was finished.

"Wow, that's really cool!" Shimmerpaw did the same, but hers turned out a little bit lumpy. After finishing with making the tail, she compared her's and Rainstreak's. "Your's is a lot more better then mine," she said.
