New Warrior of ThunderClan... [Open]

Gingerleaf ran around the forest until she got tired. Even though she felt like panting, a soft purr escaped her throat. She was now a warrior! Her silent vigil was over a while ago and now she can roam around without her mentor telling her what to do. The pretty calico was about to walk away from the spot until she heard a sound behind of her. The warrior turned her head to see who it was.

Dapplepelt was walking around, and noticed Gingerleaf. "Oh, hi!" He mewed. "How's being a warrior been so far?" He asked.

Gingerleaf's fur on her neck lowered when she noticed that it was Dapplepelt. "Hello, Dapplepelt. It's going along great..." Her mew lasted short as she thought came into mind. She sat down and smiled at her friend.

"That's great!" Dapplepelt meowed back. "So..." He said and sat down.

Gingerlead blinked her eyes and smiled at her pal. "I enjoyed our time together while we were apprentices." She almost blushed after she said that, but she looked down at her paws.

Dapplepelt nodded. "Yeah."

Gingerleaf had just sat there and watched her friend. She didn't know what to say next and all she thought about was becoming an experienced warrior. The calico looked down at her paws, she didn't like feeling awkward.

Dapplepelt felt this confidence in himself as he finnally said something, but to his surprise, it came out wrong. "Well, Gingerleaf, since we're both warriors n-now.... Okay, I'm just gonna say it. I'm really excited for both of us to become good warriors, and I just wanted to..." He didn't finish. "Nah, too early to talk. Well, anyway um, remember that one day when a riverclan cat invaded our area and fell in the trap?" He managed to change the subject, even though he knew she probably wouldn't..... Well, probably wouldn't want to since he was on a serious point. He just waited for an answer.

Gingerleaf opened her mouth to question him when his voice trailed off, but then she heard him change the subject. She had kept her mouth opened until she had realized that Dapplepelt had asked her a question. "Yes, that was funny. Who fell again?" The calico didn't think that her friend was ready to tell her what he was going to tell her, so she left that alone.

"That Riverclan cat, uh, Streamheart, I think. She said she was attacked by a rogue or Skyclan cat. She probably made that up to invade our territory." He snorted. "So, wanna go hunt?"

Gingerleaf listened to the warrior in silence before she answered his question. "Yeah, sure." She smiled at the thought of hunting for the clan and tasting the prey. She wondered what she would do next after she hunted.

Dapplepelt nodded. He sniffed the air and turned to see a big, fat, black squirrel scurrying up a tree. He quickly scrambled up the tree and leaped onto the squirrel, and bit into its neck. He shook it until it went limp. He threw it down on the ground. He waited to see what she would go after.

Gingerleaf was watching the tom when he hunted. She nodded her head in approval before she opened her mouth to speak. "Well look at you, it looks like Eaglewing had taught you well," she commented. The calico she cat turned and walked away to find prey. Walking deep in the forest, the cat crouched low on the ground and closed her eyes. When she closed her eyes, her other senses became sharper. She waited patiently and listened for sounds. Soon after, Gingerleaf heard noise coming from under a tree branch. She opened her eyes and searched for the object that was making the noise before she saw a thrush. Quietly, she stalked toward the bird and stopped under the branch. After she lifted her head, she placed her weight on her hind legs and leaped high up in the air. Before the bird got the time to react, a paw full of claws sliced its stomach with one swipe. It fell into the calico's jaws and the cat landed on all fours. She heard noise coming from behind of her and stared at the direction with the thrush in her mouth.

Dapplepelt sniffed around. He saw a mouse scurry around. He pounced, ripping his claws into its head. He saw Gingerleaf, heard her comment, and nodded. "Yup." He heard cracking behind him and saw paws, except that they were bigger than a cats....

Gingerleaf was stalking forward a vole until it heard noise and ran to its hole. "Fox dung!" She cursed with clenched teeth and glanced at Dapplepelt. She had heard the noise too, but she had ignored it when she was stalking that fresh prey a minute ago. Seeing that creature what her friend was looking at, she had regretted ignoring the sound. "Fox!"
