Lightningstrike opened one yellow eye and smiled. It was such a beautiful day at Sunningrocks, and the sun felt great on his fur. The tom purred and stared past the river, thinking of Showerpaw. Suddenly, paw steps sounded somewhere and he wondered if it was the RiverClan cat. "Showerpaw?" he whispered quietly.

Lightningstrike stood up and stretched. "I'm relaxing. Life in the Clan is hard!" Catching his mistake, he quickly corrected it. "Not that we're weak!" he added, giving his tail-tip a small twitch.

Rainpaw smiled at the tom. "Wow, no need to be so defensive!" She gave a mrrow of laughter, her whiskers twitching. Turning back to her Clanmate, she stretched and lied down on the rock. "I was just coming to Sunningrocks to rest a bit." she replied.

Streampaw smiled. Sighing, she looked at Lightningstrike. "Hmm...." She said. "How's Dapplepaw been?" she asked. "he's my friend. I didn't see him much at the gathering," She said with a shrug.

Lightningstrike drew back with surprise. Relaxing, he smiled. He has friends from RiverClan. "He's going good. He is just about to have his ceremony. (I don't know if he's a warrior already or not.)" he meowed, stretching.

Rainpaw smiled. There were a lot of cats with best friends in other Clans.

'Thats cool. Im guessing youre wondering how i know him, so i'll tell you. When I was a kit, I came to sunningrocks because, yes, i did want fun. Dapplepaw, Dapplekit at the time, Attcked me, and I screamed. He laughed. We became friends. He told me something i can't tell you, and we never spoke after that. The end." She said happily.

Lightningstrike stepped back, a little shocked by the apprentice's attitude. After a little bit, he rolled his eyes and turned his back, plopping down. "Where's Cloudpool, my sister?" he asked quietly to the two she-cats.

Rainpaw shrugged. "Border patrol, hunting, I have no idea. What about you, Streampaw?" she asked.
