Nothing.
That's all Whitekit ever saw. Nothing.
Every once in a while the warm place would become darker or lighter. Along with that the things around her would move or not. Loud noises could be heard when it became slightly lighter, sometimes asking "Will she ever open her eyes?" or "Do you think there's something wrong with?". It was mostly questions that Whitekit assumed were about her. A large fluffy object brushed over the white kit's face, making her sneeze. A familiar and kind voice filled the air closeby.
“I’m sorry I woke you sweetie.” they purred, softly licking the she-cat’s head. Whitekit mewled in reply and began to stand for the first time. Of course, it was the most difficult task any newborn kit could take, and for the blind kitten, it was ten times harder. She stumbled around and constantly fell, only to get back up again and try once more. Her mother watched in awe, surprised by this sudden action her kit had decided to do. Some part of her doubted Whitekit would ever get up, or ever speak, but as a mother she would not speak such things, lest her child hear it.
Finally, after many attempts, the white ball of fluff was standing on all fours and slowly making her way around the small, confined area. She held up her nose and sniffed around the den with her mouth slightly agape to enhance the scents.
"It's warm in here... And smells like," Whitekit took another good whiff of the den, "that yummy warm stuff." While the kit roamed around for a while, Heatherclaw sat in shock. After all this time, she was finally ready. She was so relieved, until the fluffy young one began to make her way outside.
"Whitekit, you can't go out there yet. You're still getting use to walking!" the queen meowed, worry filling her eyes.
"I need to smell the bright place though!" and with that, Whitekit took her first steps outside of the nursery.
