Wildkit and Burningkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Dewstar climbed the Highrock, perching at the top and gazing around the camp. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!" She called out as usual.

Wildkit, hearing her leader's call, skidded out of the nursery and into the clearing. Wildkit felt a bit bigger than she used to be, as the age of 6 moons had arrived on the kit. Settling down, the she-kit looked around at the other cats gathering, waiting when she knew Dewstar would finally start her announcement.

Burningkit walked out of the nursery. It had always been tiny, but never this tiny.

"Wildkit and Burningkit, step forward. You are old enough to become apprentices. You will be called Burningpaw and Wildpaw. Firefur shall mentor Burningpaw, and Sunface shall mentor Wildpaw."

Sunface stepped forward from the gathered crowd and gently touched noses with Wildpaw. "It's a pleasure to formally meet you, Wildpaw." She said kindly. She had seen the young Wildkit scampering around, but hadn't gotten much of a chance to meet her.

Wildpaw felt excitement surging through. I'm an apprentice! As Sunface padded closer to the she-cat, Wildpaw glared at the ginger and white warrior in happiness. Wildpaw felt so happy, her claws were kneading the grass beneath her paws. "I'm honoured to be your apprentice!" she kindly mewed, trying to keep calm and finally touching noses with her mentor's.
